Great Better Work
Yikes! Well, no writer or artist ever met an editor they like I guess. Mike, if it makes you feel any better, remember that fan profile of you in Episode 2? I turned down about 15 other people for that because I wanted to do something for you in lieu of the logo. No need to start a public rally, I told you that I want to print a logo of yours. So decide on the final version of this and send it over and it will be the first thing in the commemorative issue. We\'re nice here at Breakfast Digest, really!
In fact...why stop there? I\'m gonna send out an APB for
The Breakfast Logo-Parody Bonanza![/SIZE]
Everyone make up a Breakfast-related logo that parodies a famous logo and send them in. Y\'know, like the ones that used to be mad popular on T-shirts and stickers on Phish lot, like Tide/Glide Sunoco/Sanity and Heineken/Hydrogen. I want to do a whole page of these for the commemorative issue. (With Mike\'s Bass/B\'Fast logo on top!)
Whoever sends in the best parody logo will win a ticket to the 1000th show!!
(No kidding!) Entries are due by May 26th.
If anyone wants to become completely immortal and have a piece in the 1000th Show Digest, get on your horse and submit by Friday 6/9. People are gonna keep this Digest forever, and they\'ll be worth hundreds each in 10 years. So if you want in, write something about what 1000 shows means to you and send it over. 50-500 words, plenty of room for flexibility!
By the hair of my chinny chin chin we got the commemorative 1000th show Breakfast Digests out at the show last night, and they are awesome! Much thanks and praises and Jah love are due to two people for this edition. First, we were finally able to let Justin Maturo (spacebrush) off the leash with the formatting, and he went to town and did an incredible job, while simultaneously working on the poster for the show as well. How about those old-school pics! And Diana "Scoop" Bellettieri (galenas) once again gained unprecedented interview access to
all four band members and solidified herself as the preeminent Breakfast journalist. (Remember she also did the Relix article.) Nothing like having a real professional graphic designer and journalist on your side for making a newsletter. Just imagine if I had any idea what I was doing!

I hope you all enjoy reading it over a nice headdy bowl or while sitting on the toilet. Full-color download will be up shortly. YAY! :peace:
I gotta say I really liked this issue of the digest. I thought it turned out really good. I love seeing those ser old school pictures, god they don\'t even look the same anymore..
I never got to see it last night. Glad to hear it came out so good though.

finally sat down to read it Sunday afternoon. Great interview, hysterical oldschool photos (was Ron 8yrs old when he joined the band?), and A+ on the timeline!!
Anyone who didn\'t get a copy has 2 options:
1. Print out the full-color edition when it is available for download (shortly.)
2. PM me your address and I\'ll mail one to you.
A+ on the timeline!!
Thanks! The most fun and challenging part was taking all of those old stories that I could have spent 3 pages apiece on and trying to boil them down to just one sentence. If I ever go back and expand each event on the timeline to 3 pages and throw in the 34 page
Summer Tour 2002 story, you would have The Breakfast Book. Say, that gives me an idea.... :hehehe:
