Tonight is the Mike Gordon & Ramble Dove show. I know its been a long weekend for most of you but if some peeps are going to be either at BAR or at Toad\'s we can use some helping hands to pass out some reduced admissions and flyers. Let me know.
toads place just send me a post card with upcoming shows thru july. the front side has a toads schedule. the back side is a huge Breakfast logo and an ad for the 1000th show!
I got that also. def cool.
Promo went well last night. Not that great of a turnout but enough people to hand out a bunch of passes. I did not get a great feeling from the crowd.

good job Spaceman, i\'m sure this will be a great show
ill be at timmy tour tonite.... if theres anything i could get to pass out i would take it..... those early admission passes, handbills... whatever, ill hit up some music stores in eastern ct fa sho
Peaches- I\'ll have a few reduced admission passes for you tonight, but not enough to leave at music stores.
It\'s been like pulling teeth getting Toad\'s to print more.
Very glad to hear the mailers looked good! Maybe I shouldn\'t be so hard on the production office... Nah they\'re still a bunch of slackers.
Right now I\'ll still put the over/under on attendance @ 350. We need a late push.
will i be able to get a reduced admission pass the night of?
/\\/\\/\\ Absolutely.
We\'ll figure out somewhere to meet for everyone who needs them the day of.
I am so incredibly fired up for this show. It\'s been waaaaaay to long since tB played Toad\'s.

:sigh: :thumbsdow I was actually hoping to get a HUGE bunch more. I have been passing out copies of the sampler and recent shows, all with tickets in them. I\'ve left a bunch of tickets at every package store, bar, convenience store, etc. along my travels since getting that huge stack from you at Richter\'s. :sigh: Toad\'s just doesn\'t get it....what does it cost them, about 1/100 of a penny to print out a fuckin\' ticket?!?!?!?! :hscratch: :nope:
I have some reduced admission tickets left. I also have hand bills and some posters. I had talked to Tim and he agreed that Toad\'s has not printed up enough of these. We got rid of maybe 200 or so at the Gordon show. Hopefully we can get rid of 700-1,000 this weekend between Toad\'s Badfish show and the Magic Hat Festival in Danbury.
Anything under 500 people for Saturday June 17th is a complete failure. 500 is essential, bottom line. If we need to advertise the show having "free sex for everyone" then we must do so.
Any ideas?

Good idea
To explain the difficulties w/ Toads:
This is just one of many shows there. Reality is, it\'s a bigger deal to us than to them (though I guess I\'m "us" on both sides of this huh?). The owner has ALOT on his plate and can\'t see to eveything personally.
Which brings us to the buffoons in production. They are under minimal supervision, and don\'t give a rat\'s ass if anyone comes to this show. They get paid the same either way.
**the people working in production have nothing to do with the employees you see when the club is open! they hide in an office all day! please don\'t take out your frustration on my fellow bartenders and security!**
As andecdotal evidence: One of them actually threw Mike Gordon\'s check in the shedder before Monday\'s show. The owner needs to sign the check, and was off that day, so we had to send a barback to his house for the signature during the show.
:banbang:
that\'s one hell of a smiley.
