i don\'t know if i will be able to judge the last 4 shows without hearing them first. they would likey be the top 4, with 4/18, 4/25 (stone church?), 4/26 also in there
For now I\'ll give you my top show:
Daniel St 11/29
i\'d have to say:
1. 12-27 albany
2. 12-31 toads
3. 12-26 mill street
4. 11-07 bear and grille
5. 11-29 daniel street
heres 5 in no particular order
6. 5-24 sterling stage
7. 6-13 EC
8. 6-14 EC
9. 12-30 nyc
10. 4-18 iron horse
The lists thus far have a heavy Jordan Giangreco bias.
Nomination for new (old) groove of the month?
11/1/08 (Only show I attended)
^^^thats weak bro. step it up
youre too young to become yoda
ChrisPitch at 1st glance I\'m 80% in agreement with you, maybe would bump one or two up or down the list but I think you got it right bro.
Esp with:
1. 12-26 - Mill Street Brews; Southbridge, MA
I\'ll fill in my blanks later
i know, \'twas weak of me
Such a tough decision between Mill Street, Toad\'s NYE, and Daniel Street. Ultimately, I went with Mill Street not only because the second set was my favorite of the year (a set that was executed every bit as solid as it looks on paper), but also because I felt that show had the best first set of the three. Anytime I come away from a version of Beef Barley feeling overwhelmed, I know it\'s been a damn good show. Tim had some unreal
**** going in that jam.
And there is certainly no Jordan bias. I merely call them as I hear them. Night one of Utica was my top show for most of the year, but upon further review, I cannot rank a show in which they played Land of Confusion over any of those four Jordan-fueled classics.
I\'m also noticing an early lack of appearances from the Freakout run. The one show I saw of that run--Northhampton--was not a contender to make my Top 10.

maybe bias was the wrong word; how about preference?
Yes. A better choice indeed.
I saw exactly 10 shows in 2008.
Here\'s a stab at trying to rank them:
1. 12-30 Ace of Clubs
2. 12-31 Toads
3. 11-29 Daniel St
4. 3-27 Java Barn
5. 12-27 Red Square
6. 11-28 Mid East
7. 3-5 Castaways
8. 5-24 Sterling
9. 11-6 Castaways
10. 7-26 Camp Creek
I\'m also noticing an early lack of appearances from the Freakout run. The one show I saw of that run--Northhampton--was not a contender to make my Top 10.
in other words, thank god Jordans back
