Went to Toads last night to see Jaclyn Greenberg\'s brother\'s band, and then Reid Genauer and the Assembly of Dust.
Brother Greenbergs band was nice and tight with a sound that could appeal to masses.
Reid Genauer and the Assembly of SNOOOOZE! Boring. Couldnt move me anywhere but up to the snuffbox for a puff and then out the door......
Back to the point of this post. I saw the Breakfast poster for NYE tomorrow. I dig it a lot. It reminded me of Justin\'s work, but I do not have confirmation on that......SER poster and I hope they are available tomorrow. Anyone have any info on this?
i could be wrong,but im pretty sure ronnies brother in law is responsible for it,maybe with the help of switch aruny..either way,im buyin one tommorow night!

I spoke with Ron and Lisa at Cafe Nine and I believe I was told that he does the art.

I think the most recent poster I have at home is from 2001. I guess I am do for a new one.
cool ass poster... I likened it to Jut\'s work because there is a fidora and trenchcoat clad character in it holding a newspaper with the headline reading "Where is The Breakfast?" or something along those lines....
the character reminded me of Jut\'s Cafe9 posters with the guy with the hat and a cell phone stuck in the desert......
Sounds kind of Carmen Sandiego to me..

Some of my friends are going to see them, or Strangefolk, dunno which (who cares) in Portland for New Years. Makes me question their.... ...... makes me wonder what the
**** they are thinking.

Strangefolk and R.G. sound like such crap even though I\'ve never heard them.
Breakfast is way undervalued (except within thebreakfast.info family).
Reid has a really nice voice, but it\'s not enough to carry a band.
And then Strangefolk WITHOUT their good singer = complete waste of time.

Reid and AOD are Lazy Day music to me much like a good Jazz album on in the background. I love Reid\'s voice and lyric writing. AOD is a good band just not a hard rockin\' band.
please don\'t ever compare Reid and AOD to listening to good jazz. Maybe smooth(I don\'t like to be challenged by good music) jazz.
Why can\'t I can compare AOD to jazz? Most of AOD is made up of Percy Hill. Many of those guys are trained in jazz and classical music. Individually as musicians they would tear any jazz standard up. Also why does good music have to be challenging? I can think of a # of "simple" songs that are truly incredible. One example and I believe your statement will be proven FALSE.
