...vote according to the lifetime of the song, or what its doing now? the scheme vs overexposure thread brought this up, and i was wondering... do you vote for a song because of how great it has been or how great it currently is?

i think since this has become an annual thing, i vote on what has come of the song in the past 365 days. i\'m sure my votes have changed a bit since last time around.

I just vote for how the song makes me feel... and lately, it\'s more the mood of the moment, since these songs are all incredible - the last millisecond before clicking my mouse on one tune or another is what it comes down to! :biggrin:

The Scheme/OE thread made me think the same thing. I def. go with where it is right now based on nothing other than that this appears to be an annual thing. I see it as somewhat of a "song of the year".
At the same time, what makes the whole thing interesting is having to pick when an old fav. comes against the song you heard them tear up last.
To really stretch this, it\'s like having to chose between a friend from high school vs. one you see everyday now.

I def vote on how things are doing now, cause yeah it\'s an annual thing.

I really wouldn\'t be surprised if Eppy II went all the way again this year, but there\'s a definate chance for an upset.....

actually, all those people who signed up last year but never post were really me. I\'m going to use them to throw the vote against ep2. MUHAHAHAHA!

ser though, I dont look at the standings or any of that. I just look at the two songs, think of which one I like better and vote. It isn\'t based on scheme has not been played as good as intension in the last month, or any crap like that. If I think scheme is the better song, I vote for scheme. simple spacemathothermics.

i listen to the sample given and try to recollect shows i\'ve been to and versions of the song i\'ve heard in the past couple months.

i calling a Psygn upset though it is going up against STL which is my other fav. tune so that\'s going to be a tough call but Psygn is KICK ASS!!!!!

if we\'re going by recent status of tunes at shows, i really think mooboos shouldn\'t be the favorite. it really hasn\'t been strong in the rotation and the versions i\'ve seen recently haven\'t been the best i\'ve seen.

I agree but sometimes if they\'re playing something more it\'s fresher in your memory, or if they\'re playing it better lately you might like it more. but yeah I just pick the song I like better
