is Tim and/or Adrian making the rounds. You know pull a "Warren".

These 2 should bring instruments and just start sitting in. I am sure they can sit in (Tim esp.) wherever they want.

It would cause a lot of talk about the performances sat in on and invariably lead to discussions about The Breakfast.

Damn even if they are not playing a fest and it\'s near they should pack up and hit it if there is no immediate Bfast show booked.

Just another way to get these guys some notice.

i think realistically the only one in the band who has a shot at sitting in with most bands at these festivals is tim.  hes the only one who really has alot of respect outside of the bfast community.

that is probably one of the biggest untruths ever posted on this or any board........sorry chip ds-numbers.....whether its your opinion or you are basing that on some kind of fact, I will say emphatically, you are DEF wrong about that...............

However, the thread is quite valid, and Jonathan E. Upstate and I will do everything in our powers to urge the guys to work it with other bands at the festivals this year.......

i based that comment on the fact that 99% of the time i mention to someone that the breakfast is my favorite band to go see these days, they either say:

1. "yeah i think ive heard of them,"
2. "Yeah those guys are pretty damn good, ive seen them once or twice," or
3. "that tim palmieri guy is the best fuckin guitar player, hes incredible." - and dont say anything about anyone else in the band

not that i think anyone else in the band is less qualified to sit in with other bands, i just think that when most people think of the breakfast, tim palmieri is the first thing that they think of and therefore he\'s way higher on peoples "sit in" list.  Adrian would definitely be a 2nd, but drummers sitting in with other bands are much more rare than guitarist, further incresing the gap between first-place and 2nd-place for odds of bands asking them to sit in.  Matt and chris are obviously qualified for the job, but they are much less known becuase of their newness to both the band and the jamband community.

saying that was the most untrue statement on .info, or possiblly in the history of internet messageboards is a bit bold, dont ya think?

A lot of people know of adrians out of this world drum skills.

It wont take very long for people to notice matt and chris as well.

Im pretty sure matt sat in with a few bands at camp bisco.

Correct me if I\'m wrong, but part of leith\'s point is that if all members sit-in with any band at any opportunity they will become better known. I\'ve been to many festivals where "no-namers" from "unknown" bands sit-in with someone and it produces immediate interest because of the exposure. I also find it hard to believe that bands playing at festies would deny musicians as good as anyone in The Breakfast to sit-in with them. I agree that Adrian, being a drummer, is slightly limited comparatively. But I\'m totally, 100% with leith on this. I\'ve said how important sit-ins are in the past many times and there is absolutely no reason Matt and Chris should stand on the side lines and mope like 4th string quarterbacks when their slot to shine has passed.
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

this is how I have seen many a great musician that I had never heard of, and later gone to check their bands out.  great point, nick.

Just to be clear. I mentioned Tim and Adrian merely for the fact that they are the 2 that have been in the band the whole time and thus probably more well known in the Jam scene.
Given the chance I am sure Matt or Chris could cause the same amount of interest with the skills they have.

That should work out...How could the "Everyone Orchestra" possibly turn down a guest appearance?  rotfl  That would be like the Animal Liberation Orchestra taking the stage in fur coats, or the Red Sox wearing yellow socks.

so everyone agrees -- Some sit-ins at during the festival season are a good call.

Personally I think its a great idea.  Besides just exposure it could make a "meh" set by some other band i dont really care for totally balllllller.

And for the record Chris could probably blow some fuckin\' minds if he sat in.  If anything I would say him and matt should be sitting in even more just so people will be drawn to the breakfast for more than the guitar.  I too have heard a number of people go "oh yea the breakfast, that tim is fuckin crazy"... By the end of the festival season it could be "Oh yea the breakfast, all those motherfuckers are fuckin crazy"

The Animal in ALO has nothing to do with actual animals rather the "Animal" within us all is what they wish to liberate.

first we need to actually get on the bill for one of these good festies that have big acts to sit in with and crowds to witness it.

and if you don\'t think people outside of bfam know about animal your nutzo.
