After last evenings performance, I was left almost speechless. I was amazed at ellis-d on the lights, the sound dobz produced through the PA, the musicianship of the entire band, their ability to play off each other, the energy produced by the band, the crowds reactions to the insanity, the non-stop relentless jamming, the speed at which Animal hits the drums, the way Jordan can really smash them keys, the way Ron grooves and glues the band together and the unbelievable speed of Tim on guitar.

So, I ask all of you, what do you think makes a great Breakfast show?

Everything makes a Breakfast show...lights, sounds, people. The thing I remember most is never being able to wipe the grin off my face (and almost hyperventilating during Scarlet Begonias because I couldn\'t dance any harder).

everyshow is a good one.................there are certain things that could be consumed prior to the show that could make it life changing

Venue, Venue, Venue

The band is always gonna bring it.

The venues have a lot to do with it. It would be cool if there were some nice venues around but there really don\'t seem to be many at all.

Most venues have crappy sound and **** security. There are very few places if any where 1 of these 2 things doesn\'t have the potential to ruin a show. Maybe not for everyone but those 2 issues are looming.

ED O\'Dwyers in Saratoga NY is nice. They have a new sound system and seem to be pretty chill so they at least have decent sound and stay open til 4AM (best part about NY)

I would say best venue I have been in in years is Beardslee Castle. That place was really cool, the folks there seemed super chill and the venue is very unique.

I have to agree that Venue and sound systems are 2 major components of a great show.

When we were in Block Island, Captain Nicks was a terrific venue, outside bar, no security, relaxed feeling, everything you want. Great sound 2 floors to see the stage, the ability to walk outside and come back in.

The interaction between the band and the crowd (usually in the form of some Silly T.P. stage banter).

Mike (Kindm\'s) hit the nail on the head with the venue comment. Some of my favorite Breakfast memories were inspired by an ideal setting for the band and crowd.

Having seen this band as early as 1999 up to now, I know that they have improved. Have they reached their fullest potential yet? I don\'t think so. Having seen many shows and seeing almost 20 since March, I feel that this last week of shows have been great. I have not been disappointed.

the great breakfast fans help out a little bit too. i don\'t know if the shows would be anywhere as good or fun w/o you crazy bastards in the crowd getting the boys all riled up. i\'ve never seen a band that thrives off the fans energy as much as TB.

captain nick\'s was awesome!!!

the funk box in baltimore is definitely a chill venue. it\'s not very big but has a second level, nice green room and i\'m pretty sure the owner\'s or management there love the breakfast.

I think the crowd has alot to do with it. The crowd was rocking out pretty hard at the family jam, Tim was def having a good time with the crowd and I think that escilated the energy of the band.

oh, and can\'t forget the ser breakfast chicks. they totally make the venue look hella lot nicer. i don\'t know what i\'d do if there weren\'t fine ladies like princesscaspian, mamalakabubadaya, jocelyn, sallyalli, madmahoney, and moebass to mingle my way through.

although at gtb on friday i was so tired from block island i think i became delirious for a little while
