oh, and can\'t forget the ser breakfast chicks. they totally make the venue look hella lot nicer. i don\'t know what i\'d do if there weren\'t fine ladies like princesscaspian, mamalakabubadaya, jocelyn, sallyalli, madmahoney, and moebass to mingle my way through.
Really ? Always seems like the biggest sausage fest to me

Not to mention it is alwyas guys punching the Giant upfront can\'t be that great to look at all your sweaty asses all night boys :hehehe:

maybe you\'re at the wrong shows.
The thing I remember most is never being able to wipe the grin off my face (and almost hyperventilating during Scarlet Begonias because I couldn\'t dance any harder).
^^^^That was me last night!!! i got ser dizzy at one point, stumbled over something behind me (hope it wasn\'t somebody sitting on the ground) and just kept dancing my ass off! Ahh man i love breakfast shows!
I hear ya, brah. I judge the shows I go to by how many times I lose balance.

maybe thats why i thought the cruise was so good!
Lots of things...
The bands mood.
The Venue.
The sound.
The Crowd and how much they are FEEDING the show.
The song selection.
The atmosphere.
The decore.
Previous hot shows on the run.
Lack of hot shows on said run. (hot streak, cold streak)
The Ladies.
How lit the band/crowd happens to be.
The general mood of the venue.
etc
etc
etc.
its really obvious when they are on fire tho. There is electricity in the air before the music even starts, And it all just has an edge of ser\'ness to it. You can hear that twinge of epic ser\'ness all the way through the really fire shows, not just when they are jamming. Then they jam and take it COMPLETELY OVER THE TOP and everyone jumps up and down and dances as hard as possible. Repeat several times, taking it down ocassionally but not losing too much momentum. Thats what makes a great breakfast show imo.
When we were in Block Island, Captain Nicks was a terrific venue, outside bar, no security, relaxed feeling, everything you want. Great sound 2 floors to see the stage, the ability to walk outside and come back in.
most definitely! i owned that balcony for most of the show

... i wish that venue was closer, i\'d definitely check out more shows there....

what can we say? we\'re a sexy bunch
while there is a long list of what makes a great breakfast show for me, i suppose the primary factor is the ability to close my eyes, and feel the music literally flowing through my body... i hardly ever stop moving at a show, but when i really, really feel the music, i can almost tap into the energy of the band... like when they\'re in the middle of a jam, i know exactly when they\'re gonna kick back into the verse, or when jordan\'s gonna take a solo, or whatever... its really a strange thing thats so overwhelming, but i love exploring it and i hope that one day i\'ll be able to fully understand it. god i love this band.

I know exactly what you mean.
I would have to go overall....venue. A great venue always brings a great crowd so those always go hand in hand. Think about it, everythime the guys play porters..it is always one of the best shows i\'ve ever seen em play. Or even Sully\'s, that place has become one of my fav\'s to see the guys, and b/c it is smaller the energy is always through the roof which the band feeds off of and gives us an incredible night.
Hmmmmmm......What makes a great Breakfast show?
I am finding it hard to answer this question since every Breakfast show I have been to has been great to me. So I am guessing that it has to do with the venue, band, people, mind altering substances of any form.......but I guess what really makes a great breakfast show could be answered in one word, and that word is....FREDDIEWAHT
Regarding the sausage fest.....if you think Breakfast shows are sausage fests nowadays.....you should have seen em a few years ago when it was just girlfriends, wifes, and sisters.....now there are heady sexy chicks driving from all over to get to see the band and be part the family....It is truly AWESOME...so thanks to all the ladies....

GET A ROOM!
What makes a great show for me:
1) Crowd
2) Song Selection
3) Sound Quality
4) Venue
5) Segues
That\'s it for me... the crowd makes it or breaks it... have never seen a soldout show not be great. Have seen about a million doozie shows that on cd sound good, but the live feeling ain\'t the same when the band is playing for you & 2 friends.

Punchng the Giant = Ser fistpumps into the air.....I like to refer to it as the punchdance, but Punching the Giant is definitely good
