and has played random gigs w/ the Transamericans between then and now.
kirk is a mainstay in the Transamericans.
that was me, gregg, that posted that earlier. and yes, he is a permanent member, but its not like its a regularly touring band or anything. thats kinda what i was getting at.
i don\'t see kirk juhaus relocating to CT for no money. i think he has a family and roots in upstate NY. he\'s a fair bit older than our guys i think. i\'m not seeing it at all. great player though. he was camped right next to my little compound last year. i will ask him in a month what he thinks!
I am an overhyped joke of a guitarist, but thats neither here nor there.
i\'m just excited to hear/see the breakfast. end of story.
Fixed it for ya Cobby.....I really hope you weren\'t ser with that post guy.....
but thats neither here nor there.....
GroovenLumens, is it Andy? That was your projection work at Sterling Stage right?

ouch. that hurts right here. *points at chest*
i just dont see the big deal about trey after 1994 or so. but like i said, that\'s neither here nor there. one guy\'s opinion.
no i\'m not nuts, i just think he got very lazy and did not at all live up to his potential as a musician. many many many musicians suffer from this. it gets to the point wher you could go up on stage and fart into a didgeridoo for 3 hours and people would still go crazy and love it, and because of this artists feel like they dont need to try as hard anymore.

you are talking like hes dead or lost both his arms or something.....
the guy has all the money and time in the world, not to mention a family and drug problem....jesus guy....Trey still PME #2 right behind Good Ole Jer....
the drug addiction probably has a lot to do with it. and pardon my wording, has not lived up to his potential. and yea i think after phish really got majorly successful, he didn\'t try as hard. his compositions got much thinner and his playing got more sloppy and less thought out. i\'m not saying he\'s not a great musician, i\'m just saying that he lets me down since i know he\'s capable of way more.
Fair enough Cobby.....Fair enough.
See ya later...
i whole-heartedly agree with jimcobb, but, to my great surprise, was impressed by his performance at all good. mostly because when he was left behind by mike and the duo, he got out of their way and came back in once he actually had something to contribute.
Everybody knows Phish was an underachieving band. As for Al and the Transamericans, they are clearly the worst band to ever play a gig in the history of the universe. It surprised me considering all the members, especially Al, are so talented and such great players. But the Transamericans were basically a shitty blues/ folk derivative band, with no jamming whatsoever, and endless crappy folk lyrical slow songs and ballads.
