guys, are u all SER??? grow up --- everyone on this board loves the band & the music they put out... whatever you want to call them, go ahead and call them that. Leith, if you don\'t like the new band or want to at least try it out, do us all a favor and don\'t post on here anymore. Problem solved.

the \'new\' breakfast \'trio\' is a far cry from a novelty act. if anything, the streamlined version of the band is even more intense and more rocking than any former set up. you better start taking them seriously, or else you\'re gonna miss out on something huge.
that being said, i don\'t know about any tryouts or whatever, but whoever does go for the 4th spot is gonna have to be better than jordan to make the grade. the breakfast can and will kickass as a \'trio\' and do not need a 4th person to maintain the badass sound that the breakfast has come to be.

i havent heard it yet but I find it hard to believe that they will last if they dont find a keyboarder. it may be more rocking and raging and streamlined at first but in the long run it will not be as good or full or complete or balanced. Chances of blowing up as a trio are slim especially if they try to do cheesey

should they have stopped touring and being a band all together? Absolutely not! They are making the best of a bad situation.

actually i think it was me who started the name calling and i apologize to everyone who read that and especially to Leith, we aren\'t kids on a playground. BUTTTT for the limited time i have been part of this family i have grown an appreciation for everyone involved and will continue to defend everything Breakfast. And for a "fan" to come on here and say they will jump ship because one member decided to do something different and the band has to conform is blasphemous in my eyes, especially considering that person hasn\'t even heard what they have to offer. hey... if you give them and honest listen and say hey, these guys are good but it\'s not for me then jump but don\'t expect a life preserver or someone to jump in with you..... but i\'ll gladly give you a push......

agreed. i just think they should really push to get someone good in there asap. obviously dont settle for someone sub part but if the trio business drags out too long it wont be good/ the same exact thing happened to rezi and it was SWEET at first and lost its charm about 2 months later
anyone can think what they want, but until they stand in front of the stage for a couple hours and watch it all go down, then i don\'t care what they think will come of it. apparently its impossible to be a 3 piece and not a novelty act, i hope someone told that to medeski martin and wood, or cream, or the jimi hendrix experience.
the omission of jordan opens up a lot of space for the breakfast to grow. there\'s no longer the sound of musicians playing on top of eachother, and it gives tim even more room to just go off and be himself w/ holding anything back, and as a ser breakfast fan, thats what brought me to this band in the first place.

no offense to Rezi, but how long were they together? These guys have been playing together for more than 10yrs (all projects combined) that\'s gotta add a little weight to the situation. Again no offense to Rezi I really liked them...

Well I have decreased my posting since I first heard about the change in June. I will most likely only be an occasional poster as I do consider some of the folk on here friends and like to keep up on the crazee shennanigans they take part in.
As I have ALREADY posted I will continue to support the band but just because I am not as rabid about them as a trio I am ostersized? That I find ludicrous.
And yeah I may not have heard The Breakfast as a trio but I know enough about the way the 3 guys play to know I will not enjoy it as much. That\'s my deal not any one else\'s so let\'s leave it at that.
Time to pull out this gem again..........
