"Working from seven to eleven every night, It really makes life a drag, I don\'t think that\'s right."

But baby, Since I\'ve Been Loving You. I\'m about to lose my worried mind

Love they end that song with that. Works on 2 levels.
i work 40+ hours every week...not in bars/music venues...not doing the thing i love to do...i rarely get handed beers while i\'m doing my job...the male:female ratio at work is slightly worse than at a breakfast show (and much worse than BAR)
where\'s my thread?

exactly! duane are you freakin\' kidding?! This kid is doing what he loves. We should all be so lucky and you\'re talking like he should receive the James Brown "Is It Gonna Make Me Sweat" Award. I\'ll get concerned when he starts approaching the 168 hour work week.
Seriously!
I think he\'ll be alright.
I\'m not saying that Tim\'s job is easier/harder/better/worse than anybody else\'s job, but I think he deserves a bit more credit than he\'s getting in this thread.
Tim doesn\'t just show up to Beatles A-Z knowing all 40+ songs they are playing that week. While I\'m sure most of the guitar parts were simple enough for Tim (especially with the chords in front of him), it definitely took a lot of work to get the vocal harmonies in order. And, while the Breakfast certainly doesn\'t get together and practice Buquebus every day, writing and learning new songs and covers takes a lot of work. Also, Tim mentioned to me that he has been revamping his solo repitoire. Not to mention that Tim is his own booking agent as far as solo gigs/side projects, and I believe has some sort of involvement in the booking of Breakfast shows these days.
The point is that Tim doesn\'t just work for the 10-20 hours that he is on stage in a given week. And, correct me if I\'m wrong, but I don\'t believe that Tim has ever taken a sick day. Sure, he has more days off than the rest of us, but once he is scheduled, he shows up.
And, as a vaguely related aside, I\'m glad that I don\'t have an Internet community publicly scrutinizing everything that I do at work.

tell that to st. louis.
and believe me, i fluff tim (and the breakfast) to every other message board/music fan i know.

Hey, they
showed up in St. Louis. :drew:
And, if I remember correctly, nobody complained except for some folks who weren\'t actually there.

Drew, I\'m sure most folks on this board (w/ an exception of a handful of mouth breathing dolts) are fully aware that Tims job extends beyond the hours that he\'s actually on stage.
All of us (Tim, you, me and anyone else that get\'s paid for a job) get\'s scrutinized by both the people that pay us, and also by the customers that use, hear, consume, read, etc the fruits of our labors. I constantly receive feedback about my successes and failures. Yeah, sure it sucks to get negative feedback. But life is tough, buy a helmet.
