Even professionals never cease to amaze me in that they make simple grammar mistakes. My dad was on a website (Fowler Productions..sound and light stuff) a half hour ago and asked, "How do you spell "responsibilities?" I came over, and sure enough, the \'professional\' website had spelled it \'responsabilities.\'

I think maybe we should just start our own business as a personal spelling and grammar checker for companies like that.

ive always had some questions about this title, so maybe i should clear them up here.

first, if there is no apostrophe on "Glady\'s" then the title doesnt really make any grammatical sense. so what the hell does this title mean? Unless "Gladys Pimp" is someone\'s first and last name, respectively.

second, how do you pronounce "gladys" ...i used to always say "glad-ees" until I heard booze and klout call it "glad-is" ... maybe its just their upstate accents, but can anyone clear this up?

yes, jim. yes it would. however, that is not the intended meaning of the song title, and it would also make it "glad-iss-iz pimp..."

Ok. So, the only circumstance in which Gladys\' Pimp would make sense would be if Gladys was modifying pimp.

So if I said something to the extent of, "Geez, I\'d love to go grocery shopping with Gladys\' pimps," then yes, that would make sense.

But you would never put an apostrophe at the end of someone\'s first name if all that followed it was the last name. You would never say, for instance, "Chris\' Piccirillo sure does love to correct grammar."

And you would certainly, never, ever, ever, do one of these: "Glady\'s Pimp and Chri\'s Piccirillo would make ideal pals."
