I resurrected this from a post a long time ago:

Heather begins with a diminished triad.

So instead of this:
---------------------------------------------------------
---------9----9h10p9----9----------9----9-10-11-12-11-10-
-----10----10--------10---10----10---10------------------
--12-------------------------12--------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------

it would be this:
---------------------------------------------------------
---------12----12h13p12----12----------12----12-13-14-15-14-13-
-----10----10-----------10----10----10----10------------------
--12-------------------------------12--------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------

But I\'ve seen Tim play this and he doesn\'t play it on that set of strings, the notes are correct
but the first chord voicing that is used is this:

---7----------
---6----------
---7----------
------------
------------
-------------

Ant-Man, Tim usually uses major scales or pentatonic scales over the jams or when he solos.
Take the jam for Buquebus, it is in G minor. So tim will usually use G dorian (G,A,Bb,C,D,E,F) but
sometimes he\'ll use G natural minor (G,A,Bb,C,D,Eb,F), I think I\'ve actually heard him use Dorian
in the first jam and switch to Natural Minor in the second or vis versa.

Here are some chord progressions for some Breakfast Jams:

My Fav: Tribal Funk Affliction l A-7 / C-7 / l B-7/ / /l / / / /l
Language of the Gods: l F#-9 / / / l / / / / l Emaj7 / / / l / / / / l -use E major(F# Dorian)

May Fly: G minor Jam, use G dorian or G natural minor

GBFBITS: I beleive this song is in A major so Tim uses A major pentatonic
,major pentatonic has that very happy country-esque sound so
if the jam is in E, Amaj Pent is (A,C,D,E,G)

This one too:

Yeah, Here is the intro to spunk.

------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------
---------5----------------------------5----------------------------
--5-7-5----7-------------------5-7-5------------------------------
---------------5-6-7---3b--0------------5-6-7--3----0--4-5-6--2b--0-

---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------4-7---9-6-
---------7---------------------------------------------3-6-----------
--5-7-5---5----------------------------------------2-5---------------
---------------5-6-7--3----0----4-5-6--2---0--1-4-------------------

----------------------------------12---
----------------------------------12---
----------------------------------12---
--8-5----------------------------------
-------5---5--7~-----------------------
---------7-----------3b4r3--0----------

Then: (I think this is correct) (Tim plays this a little bit different everytime)

A-7 Ab-7 A-7 Ab-7
-----------------------------------------------------------
--2-4/5-------7-5\\4---2--4/5----7-7-5\\4-------------------
------------------------4-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------
This is from memory so it might be wrong

---8---5---2-------------------------------------------------
---7---4---1-------------------------------------------------
---8---5---2-------------------------------------------------
---7---4---1-------------------------------------------------
-----------------3-3-3-3---1-2-3---------------------------
----------------------------------0------------------------

Heres Drunk Monk Bar for ya:

Main Riff:

----------------------------------
----------------------------------
----------------------------------
--------1-------------------------
--3-3-------(0)-1-2-3----------1--
-----------------------1---2-3----

when the vocals come in:

----------------------------------
---------4-------------------------
---------3------------------------
---------------------------------
--3-1-3-------(0)-1-2-3----------1--
-----------------------1---2-3----

and the really cool instrumental bridge:

-------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------8-------10---------------------8-9-10-11-10-8---------
-------------8-------10-------8-7----7-8-10----------------8-------
--6-7-8-9-10---10-10----10-10-----10-------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------8---10b11-8-----------------------------
---------------------------8-----------10bllr10--------------------
--10-11-10-8---------------8---------------------------------------
-------------11-10-9-8-7-------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------

No, a good ear I guess, I just graduated from Berklee, so I\'ve been studying music for years. I\'ve been a huge pb fan for years.  Over the last few years I\'ve figured out almost every pb song on guitar, so I know how to play the stuff, I just haven\'t tabbed them out, so this is kinda fun.  I\'ve also taken guitar lessons with Tim for the last few years as well, maybe one every year or six months. Check out my band if you want (myspace.com/thirdpartymusic) we\' ve only been togther for six months.  My bass player has perfect pitch! That bastard.

So how many hours a day do you practice there? lol

Not enough, but seriously, it varies.  Now that I\'m out of school, I find I can practice a lot more because I don\'t have to do so much school work. It\'s kind of ironic since you\'d think that a Berklee student would practice like 5 hours a day or something while in school.  I found that to be impossibe since I had a job and commuted 1 hour to school 3-4 days a week.  But the thing is I love to play, so if I\'m not "practicing" I\'m probably playing.  Discovering PB was great for my playing, as you know Tim is a beast on the guitar.  He definately inspired me to be a better guitar player. I\'d go to PB shows a few years ago and leave shocked saying to myself "wow I have a lot of work to do".  Thanks for the tip on that perfect pitch site. I\'ll have to check that out.  I don\'t know if you can develop perfect pitch this late in life but you can always train your ear to be better.
