one of the biggest eating weekends of the year and the breakfast getting some much deserved rest. i realize that porters needed to be cancelled, but it\'s really too bad. don\'t want to schedule a shaky place on a big night like that.  all the kids are home mostly to see their parents for the  holiday weekend.a nice weekend to spend with family IMO. this is how a band makes it big. check jambase tomorrow and saturday and you\'ll see that every working band around is out there wasting their energy. i missed last year due to travelling and everyone was raving about "turkey tour". "best show ever"s were flying around all over the place. those are great accolades to reflect on while using the holiday weekend to plan the musical assault on the rest of the country for next year.

So true.

The biggest thing about this holiday is the returning college kids or kids who come back to spend it with their families. I know I would like to get out of the house after spending it all day with the familiy.

Like I said when I first heard about the Porter\'s cancelling, **** Porter\'s. After the "last show ever", I am done with the place and had no intentions of going back for a b\'fast show.

However, How come no Toad\'s place show? or something else in the area in Mass or RI?

It seems like 2005 wasn\'t as big of a productive year as expected.

Definately not as productive a year as it could have been, however i think the festie appearances are definately going to help big time. 2006=the year to step it up and do some **** touring.

2006 is definitely an important year for them. They really need to take advantage of the little ground they have made and exploit it.

I wish they were on the road more and played more shows. They really need to go back and tour for a year or two or three. It\'s a lot of work and very difficult but needs to be done.

As usual, a little insight can be helpful.  The Porter\'s date was cancelled for good reason...and band members filled in dates with side project dates.  In fact The Breakfast was offered the date to open for Derek Trucks at The Premier in Danbury, but they didn\'t want to cancel side project dates.

Sometimes I gotta wonder what people are thinking.

Still, its been a very good year for the band.  Lets leave it at that.

Turning down an opening spot for a band that most likely has an audience The Bfast would like a piece of due to Side Projects does not seem like good Bfast business sense to me.
