Rerecorded tracks?
« on: »
I was listening to Psychedelic Breakfast (the album... and the band by default) today, and, having not listened to it in years, I was struck by the changes that have occurred in some of the tunes (due to Jordan leaving and for other reasons).  The different harmony in the chorus of "Puppetry" is the one that inspired this thread, but there are others.

I\'m not saying that any tracks in particular SHOULD be rerecorded, in fact, I don\'t think any new album, at least in the next few years, should include a track already on an album.  But if you could choose a few tracks from previous albums to be rerecorded by the 2007 Breakfast, which would you choose.  I suppose Moxie Epoxy can be included in this discussion, though I guess those tunes are as close to 2007 Breakfast songs as any to date.

I would be interested to hear, in no particular order:

- "See the Light": Maybe inverted, definitely a bit faster than the Deuce version.  I love Timmy\'s vocals as much as Jordan\'s on this one (though for different reasons).
- "Food For Thought": Spaced out more than the Bona Fide version
- "Attraction to Shade Ditty": A longer jam than the original
Go see your Breakfast, there are starving Leiths in California

Puppetry should be on every Breakfast CD.

As for See the Light I love the Deuce version, that chick singing has a great voice. And how the jam fades out without actually jamming, normally I\'d hate that, but on that track its just tantilizing.

I have the dig, but it\'s just camera audio. I never heard the final mix. Sundance I\'ve never heard.

They recorded Sundance and Dig in the studio?  I\'m assuming for Deuce. That would be sweet to hear.
