def agree with that.  anytime they play ironhorse, i think back to this show:

2005-02-05 - Iron Horse Music Hall; Northampton, MA
I: Rufus > Doughboy, The Chase*, Gravity > Rufus > Gravity > jam > Cut Me Some Slack > Rufus > Cut Me Some Slack, jam > Taboo Or Not Taboot > Rufus > Moby Dick > Score

I\'m leaning towards "anywhere you\'re lucky enough to be able to make it to" these days.

oh yes, that\'s why Northampton is the town that Rufus built :)

Yeah too bad St. Lawrence College is like five hours from the nearest living being.

Don\'t hate on the sick venue just cause you\'re too much of a slacker to make that kind of drive. A crew from NH made it to the last Syracuse > Canton run in March, 2009 and that\'s well over an 8 hour drive.

Both Java Barn shows were fantastic. I don\'t think time flows in the same manner up there as those Queebs seem to go on forever. I\'ll still defend that the first year\'s Queeb was over 40 minutes. Klout and Frolfer can back me up. This is a venue they definitely need to try for in the Spring.

It\'s nice that some of these venues are new to the list within the last five years and are not just old school.  True, the "RIP" list for this idea is longer than the "active" venues list for this idea...but that\'s to be expected.  (If the Wetlands could close, anything can close.)

Best active venues list:
Stone Church
Electric Company
Anything on Block Island
Red Square
Beardslee Castle
Middle East Upstairs
Sully\'s

RIP Venues list (closed Breakfast venues that kicked ass):

Butterfield
Porter\'s
Callahan\'s
Tobacco Road
The Wetlands
Fire and Water Cafe
Puppet House
Brickhouse
Short Beach Saloon

I don\'t even remember how long the solo drive was from the bean, but the Living Daylights jam we got made it worth my while.....  also came to say that any of the Rocks On!/Rocks Off! harbor cruises are always a blast, in NY/Boston, respectively..:inky:  boats people, boats!!!
Not sure what is gonna transpire. Regardless, we ain\'t gonna forget the gravy.

The March 09 Canton trip was my fourth Breakfast show; as I was crossing from Burlington into NY state, I see that 50 yards to my right is the NY-Canada border crossing all lit up (while I was all \'lit up\') and got a lil freaked cause I wasn\'t allowed to leave VT (probation).  Finally made it to the Java Barn, first set already started.  During setbreak I was wandering around outside and saw two cool kids that stood out from the college freshmen.  A conversation was started and I met Gfunk and psychedelic (spelled differently on .info).  Second set I talked to some local kid who seemed to be **** up on some kind of substance, the convo distracted him from bumping into/ bothering other people.

those two memories pooped into my head when I read Java Barn,

As soon as I saw you posted in here I knew you were going to say The Saint. Man, I\'d like to get back down there for a show. Don\'t think I\'ve been since Ron\'s last show there. That Episode 3 is on fire!

Lois: What the hell?  Marilyn Manson?  Is that who\'s causing all this?  Peter: Yeah, it\'s all him or hers fault.  Who does he or she think he or she is?  Look, you can totally see his or her nipples.  That\'s obscene... maybe.  Lois: There\'s only one thing to do.  Peter: You\'re right.  We got to find this Marilyn Manson and I\'ve got to give that bastard or **** a piece of my mind or ****.
