I\'m interested in starting up a Breakfast podcast via iTunes... especially since today I was browsing around, and noticed that UM and Wilco both offer theirs for free. It\'d be a great way to get some new fans/interest!
So, I\'d be willing to set up any type of software, and/or take whatever time is needed to do this, but I do need some help from more tech-savvy .infoers... Anyone have any experience? What steps are involved in making a podcast from the archive recordings? Any help would be appreciated!
First off, if podcasts of the band are released, it should be the best possible representation of the band, which means multi-tracked mixed recordings. It would be unwise to release podcasts of AUD recordings. Great idea though Robyn. UM\'s podcasts are a driving force behind their grassroots promotions.
STS9 also has podcasts and they are fuckin\' awesome. They come out with them every few months with about an hours worth of SBD recordings with different tracks from different shows all put together. This would definitely be a cool thing for the breakfast to do, they could also throw in songs from old shows/timmy tour stuff too.
 of course, that thread was started by you, so going nowhere = the usual!

Anyways, I\'m stubborn and sicilian. :strong: I\'ll do my best to get at least a few podcasts up & running (with consent from the band). I guess my best bet right now is to get in touch with mike (kindm\'s) and see if he\'s willing to host it? Also, I\'d love to get a good quality mp3 of a show to record onto the software - if any tapers have a newer show ready to send, let me know! k, thx.

Yeah other than Dave I have started the most threads on this board and most of them filled with good ideas for this band and all ignored.
Any luck Robyn?
Oh and the Wilco podcast of them on Austin City Limits is ahnice!
I\'m glad you brought this up again, I almost forgot about it! Unfortunately, after researching all the info necessary to put it on itunes (using sites like
how to podcast, I had no luck with my lack of "tech skills" - like I would need an RSS file & a server :hscratch:. I read that it\'s best to have a special program to use, which would make it easier, but the ones I researched cost too much $.

So... basically, I\'d need help from someone proficient in this to get started!
...bueller?
