There\'s no other explanation as to why this band isn\'t bigger. Bigger bands are (and should be) terrified of having to follow The Breakfast. Solution? Adrian only plays one handed (without feet either), Tim only plays the ukulele, Ron only plays Cosmic Spaceway Rhyme, and Jordan only uses the pre-programmed beats on a Casio keyboard. Just until they get booked on a tour with a bigger band.

Would be very interesting to wittness, but ur right
lol at the subject of the thread. I think this theory has some merit. Most bigger bands probably aren\'t afraid to have The Breakfast open because most people are there to see the headliner and will still cheer and watch them, while either ignoring or skipping the opener entirely. Also, bands are cocky. The managers and musicians of most big bands would never honestly believe that The Breakfast is better than they are.
On the other hand, I am totally convinced that Fear of The Almighty Breakfast is what got them banned from Camp Creek. Their set at Camp Creek 2001 (7/27/1) still easily makes my alltime Top 10 Breakfast shows. It was absolutely colossal. It was all everybody talked about all weekend at Camp Creek. All day Saturday and Sunday it was hard to tell whose festival it was because there was so much talk about that set. They weren\'t invited back after that. Now you look at Camp Creek and all the other bands are like Jeff Pevar, UMelt, Schleigho, and solo artists. Cute, good, but harmless.

It\'s true and understandable and the reason is this.... The ENERGY LEVEL during the sick peak outs at the rippin bfast shows is about as high as you can take it. Most other bands cant match the level they take it to and obviously don\'t want the most intense part of the night to be 45 minutes before they even take the stage.
Its also true that booking gigs, even in the jamband scene, is a lot of managers and agents and rock stars and other egos butting heads.
They will make it though. They don?t need to ride anyone?s coattails because sooner or later there is going to be a lot bands riding theirs.
I think the breakfasts rise to the top will be mainly self driven but I do hope and plan to see future collaborations with other bands that bring similar LEVELS OF INTENSITY and will make people throw down hard like ozzomatli, vw and the soul circus, rezi, soulive, franti, sam kinninger, maybe some good hip hop, RJD2 etc. If these type of HIGH ENERGY, ragefest party-bands unite it will do wonders for the \'scene\' and for planet earth and the bfast will own face across the nation.
I fear the Breakfast.
I fear your avatar.... and the Breakfast.
Seriously, I remember reading about Pete Townsend getting in a fight w/ someone @ the Monterey Pop Fest because he didn\'t want to go on after Jimi Hendrix.
If anyone ever says less is more, is because they cant do it

Well unless you\'re talking about Jerry Garcia\'s guitar playing because the notes that guy didn\'t play stopped your heart a beat for sure.
