- Stop worrying about playing obscure covers. - Let Matt learn all TB originals, whether they\'re shelved or not - Work on trying to produce better vocals (not that Jordan was any great singer, it\'s hard to listen to DMB or Vermont Song)
I thinking instrumentally, they\'re there or close to it. But vocally, they\'re lacking. I might be committing .info suicide, but maybe they should look for a singer - just a thought? :duck:
sticking to semi well known fusion like mahavish or even some classy miles davis woul def be a good move for them. i always thought they should incorporate some jazz into their repetoire since it\'s obviously an influence and most people into the scene can get down. especially since they are such a talented group of musicians, they could totally excel in that category. I think they shoud bust out continuum, a version similar to the one on Trio of Doom, and really let ronnie steal the show for a tune
Who says they need to pick up prog fans. There are few prog bands that I enjoy listening to and I probably wouldn\'t go out of my way to listen to them if they weren\'t readily available. (This is my opinion) Why would I want the band to change their style and move in that direction. I think that they should continue to play THEIR music the way they want to and continue playing the covers they want to, but for god\'s sake, please stop playing Jump, Hot For Teacher (music is great, but overall, not so good) and Jumpin Jack Flash.
For all you "prog rock fans" ya know Porcupine Tree is playing in CT this weekend.
Of course I won\'t be there, even though I like Porcupine Tree, I can\'t be arsed to drive and pay. Now if it was a headydelic jam-band like The Breakfast that would be a different story..
