its not even all THAT simple, just lowkey.
edit: also, an album should show diversity.
your opinion is wrong, sir.
Ok Hitler...
Yeah Mandler, I understand that a breather is needed. I guess if the song HAS to be on the album then I would like to see a musical makeover: add some strings, maybe a french horn and have Tim double over his vocals.
^^that\'s exactly it, the room they would have to work with this tune in the studio is gonna be where this tune is REALLY gonna shine, and then it will be come a ser live tune, there is so much room for this song to grow
that was a joke, opinions arent right or wrong, they are opinions.
and i\'m sure they\'d put a little productions behind it. that song definitly calls for it.
well, considering its not gotten nearly the amount of play time as any of the other new songs, the delivery will come with the practice. that being said, i don\'t actually think it needs much more work. and i\'m not really a big fan of previous "mellow" tunes due to them not having the power, just the sweetness. this is the first one that really grabs me as being a stand alone tune that doesn\'t need a jam to give it its value.
and it is *definitely* single material!
All I know is:
Eppy 3 10+ minutes
Late Great>Over Exposure +15 at least
Psygn 10 minutes
Intension +/- 8 minutes
Escher\'s Pt 3 TBD, but I\'m sure it will be beefy
Honeybutter 10 minutes.......
Anyone wishing for an album right now is crazy.
The last thing these guys need to do is hole up in a studio again. Hell the band was pushing Real Radio on this past tour seeing as they NEVER introduced it to the West Coast.
Oh and most of the songs mentioned so far are Buquebus Saga songs and I doubt they would all be included in an album together. Just does not seem like the PB style.
That said on the next album when they do make it should def. have Intension, Good Things and Mayfly.
I fon\'t know it could just you some atmospheric (sp?) backround
Wait, so Jason, you\'re telling me that you wouldn\'t want strings, a horn or two (in the classical sense), and thick vocals?
Leith, unless The Breakfast is going to pull an Umphrey\'s and record an album 2/3rds full of new material I doubt the Buquebus saga songs wouldn\'t be on it... Half of the songs are already on albums so why would it make a difference?
Oh and Joe?
Good Things is one of those songs that no matter your opinion on it the greatness of the song shines through.
Hate on all you want but I tell you now that song will have you in tears one day.
no joe, i\'d prefer the opposite. acoustic guitar intro, tim alone on vox, full electric band dropping in for the second chorus. but that\'s just me.
and leith, like it says, i was just daydreaming, realizing that they already have almost a full album of tunes without really trying.

It\'s made me cry alright......... tears of frusteration.
really is to bad joe its a great song..
btw:thanks for the STS9 disc, haven\'t listened to it yet, but I\'ll let you know what I think
