Imagine if Warren Haynes sat in for a few tunes. I think that it would be one of the greatest musical moments to witness. Timmy and Warren just dualing it out... You never know, Warren has a copy of Bona Fide.
I think I would walk right out of the show....
Dunno bout the greatest moment ever.. but Warren rips it and it would be some fine ass
****!
ABB does not suck.. cmon.. you can dislike Southern Rock but
Credit where credit is due.. they were bad ass!
Yeah, but why the
**** of the jamband community though? He virtually plays with everyone...there are soo many other great guitarists out there guys...Ya dont have to agree, but it\'s just my 2 cents...
Josh,
I don\'t dislike all Southern Rock, but I do hate how ABB abuses the slide guitar. I\'ve said it before and I\'ll say it again, they suck. I went to two shows with my father and I\'ve walked out of each show before the encore. Bye the way, both times the set was exactly the same. Maybe it would have been different if I saw them 25 years ago when the original members were alive, but at this time, I think I\'m ready for them to hang it up.
I would like to say I dug Tim playing with Creek at Wormtown......I am a huge fan of Creek and Scotty, but I have to be honest and say that Tim kicked Scotty\'s ass, yea and verily. Would love to see Peev play with PB, I know he has but I wasn\'t there. Oh, and Jimmy Herring. Yeah right. How about Derek Trucks.
They do play alot of the same songs each show, but they rip it up. Why is Warren looked down upon for playing with many? He is highly respected, and so I hope it all goes well for him.
I guess it\'s the fact that I\'m a huge Warren fan...
Warren Haynes
Jeff Pevar
Karl Denson
Dirty Dozen Brass Band
BB King
Al Green <> He\'s back making music again. He could add some soul...
Since we are on the topic of Warren, I would just like to say that while I am not a huge Warren fan, I really like what he adds to ABB and also Phil and Friends. Many, and I mean many, critisize his work in both those bands, espeically Phil\'s. But I think him and Herring both add to make a really neat sound.
I don\'t think it is that far of a strech. He is family and I know if it doesn\'t happen by NOLA Jazz Fest then it will probably happen there.
Would it be too idealistic to say The Dead?
Also, I say Dave Matthews just to give all of those teenage fans (I realize that I\'m only 18, but you know the people I\'m talking about) a culture shock. As if Trey isn\'t going to embarass him enough...

Trey won\'t embarass Dave. Dave has soul and singing prowess that Trey can only dream of. Trey will obviously whoop Dave\'s ass technically, and is a more complete composer. I prefer Trey, but its hard to say who\'s truly a better musician.
A far as the topic goes, I would live to see w/ PB:
George Clinton
Napoleon Murphy-Brock
Dizzy Dust (from Ugly Duckling)
Flea
Britney Spears
Onyx
