Author Topic: I find it funny that during GTB shows (Read 1845 times)

They now play some Breakfast songs performed by "The Breakfast Trio".
I just find it funny due to all the resistance to them being called the Trio, The Breakfast Trio or some variation of trio when they were indeed a Trio.

my take: when it was present time, they were The Breakfast. now that it\'s part of history, you need some way to differentiate.

Watching Flea in the crowd at the Lakers game last night made me realize the band could choreograph some really funny RHCP stage banter between songs: the LA lifestyle, courtside Lakers tickets, sold out arenas, chicks, planes....the possibilities are numerous if they wanted to play the part.

"last night we played the Staples Center......" and take it from there.

That would definitely make the Good Time Boys a sad cover band rather than a respectable tribute to RHCP.

You\'ve obviously never seen a cover band that takes it to that step.

Why because you don\'t sing Breakfast songs? It does not make sense. It\'s a GTB show and they play a Breakfast song, you can just note that it\'s a Breakfast cover seeing as the GTB are still playing the song you just happen to sit out.
