When did you start watching Dead shows?
My 1st Dead show was april \'85 I was 14 . I went to my 3rd show on my 15th birthday that yr. and it was over from then on.
leith, seeing as youve been kinda sensitive this past week i figured i shouldnt even bother to tell you guys to GET A ROOM!!!!thanks man
Actually been waiting for it Wah. Has Dave set u up w/ a special forum monitor so when any 2 people converse in a thread it pops up ROOM SERVICE WAH!!
not yet,but its a great idea!
Yes I would consider getting a room with Leith but feel as though my questions may be of interest to others on the forum.
I listened to your Winston\'s show from July 2003 tonight. What was the crowd like at your first PB show? You better not have been the one yelling about a song sucking. Sounded like there weren\'t too many people at Winston\'s.
I am still awestruck by the Breakfast\'s performance at the Baja Bash and have been driving to my bus stop each morning (takes me into Boston) blasting Baja Bash at 6am. Amazing renditions include: Doughboy, Wake Up in a Coma, Vermont Song, Escher\'s, Inner Glimpse, Fairy, Sir Psycho, Mayfly etc. etc. I urge all the hear that show.
What is the state of the Breakfast in CA and are there many others that are as impressed as you are Leith? You must have some friends that you\'ve served the Breakfast on to.
Did you ever catch the 100 Below shows in Santa Monica? I heard Wolfman saying that the first appearance there in 2002 was off-da-hook with a huge crowd of first-timers jamming. Anyone remember Wolf\'s 17 page review of his spring 2002 tour with PB? I read that thing for an hour. Great review!!!
Does anyone remember PB getting some airtime on the radio in L.A. too?
Whatever happened to that guy Charles Gonzalez from CA. I think I sent some tapes to that guy a couple years ago because he was a major fan after catching a show out there.
Did The Breakfast play up at High Sierra again?
My 1st show there was maybe 15- 20 people. I was def. not the person yelling abt a song sucking in fact i was pretty much speechless and @ setbreak after getting my head together I hung out w/ Tim and Jordan partaking of some herbal medicinal product. 2nd set was insane for me to say the least.
Well the last time they were @ Winston\'s I would say the house was packed and it holds 250 "legally". I can take some credit for this as I am very enthusiastic abt this band and have been very active in promoting them from flyering when they come out to distributing discs. I also pretty much jack any stereo I am near and put in PB. The Breakfast is making headway out here and people no longer look @ me strange when I mention them, now it\'s "oh yeah I\'ve heard of them, crazy good guitar player right?" or something along those lines.
The last April show @ 14 Below was the best show they have had in LA according to Tim and I must say it did fuckin\' rock. I believe Wayne has put it up on LMA. The Breakfast gets radio play alot in LA from Barry Smolin on his show.
The Breakfast skipped this yrs. High Sierra I believe due to Ron\'s wedding.
Charles is still a part of the Oxnard crew that looks after the guys when they are in LA .
Yeah that Baja Bash set is pretty amazing. I am glad I am not the only one that is blown away by it.
Can anyone recommend some good shows to download from the LMA?? I want the best breakfast shows that I don\'t currently have. How does it work? Download to my computer then burn to disk?
I don\'t know much about this stuff.
Someone asked about this recently. Difficult question to answer for an old school fan as we\'ve all got our fave tracks. Did some trawling through the forums and found the thread where it was discussed:
http://www.pbfans.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1813This of course only goes up to April and misses the August Cafe 9 run - 1st night is a killer!
I tried downloading the Cafe 9 show up until the point when my computer told me this process would take 75 hours to complete.
I guess no new Breakfast for me.
