I hate to break this to you all but I may be relocating to the West in the coming months.
How many Breakfast runs make it out to Cali each year? I know that Baja Bash/High Sierra = a July tour. I think they sometimes get there in the spring as well.
Anyone have any statistics for me??
Leith?
I\'m starting to feel deprived and I\'m not even certain I\'m leaving yet.
Dude it is famine out here. Usually a few shows in a week in April. Fest time (Summer) and then October is the other week of shows but I do not see that so far this year. Wondering when Best Coast dates will be booked. Lucky to get 5-6 servings a year out here.

Lucky for me I have this place and friends to B&P me new servings as needed.
If I do move, I\'ll have to find a high-paying job so I can fly East periodically for the "can\'t misses".
For Sure. I hear tell those"can\'t misses" are pretty interesting.
Aww geez Al you just came back and now you\'re leaving already!
It\'s a tough decision, especially since CA is not exactly like moving to another New England state and still being to drive home in a few hours. Cali is tough because of all the extremes:
Goods - opportunities, fun people, culture, always being at the forefront of some new trend, fashion boutiques and food choices, weather, dramatic topography, fitness.
Bads - higher crime in the cities than Mass. cities, scarcity of resources and cheap properties, overcrowding, weather (the weather falls at both end of the spectrum due to floods/mudslides, fires, droughts, UV rays), having to exercise in L.A. with a surgical mask because of the air quality.
If I do move, everyone on the here will have a place to crash for West Coast PB shows or similar travels. I\'ll have a key made just for the PBfans message board.

Your bads are misleading. Depends on which city you are in to compare crime. Cheap property can still be found u just gotta live 2-3 hrs away from anything, Weather is always good. You want seasonal changes go up to North Cali. Floods/ mudslides very rare actually, fires (well lots of things burn). Drought you just deal w/ no real inconvenience. UV rays sunblock and shade. Exercise in L.A. always takes place indoors in AC. Once the AC no longer helps workout over! I am biased but if you got a chance to bail the east coast and come out West DO IT!!!
I am a finance guy sdo I don;\'t have much choice but to live within a short distance of S.F.
Most of my exercise is running, biking or b-ball so I would definitely have to load up on the sunscreen.
Maybe I will see you sooner than later at the West Coast shows??
May even convince me to check out Tea Leaf Green too.
The City is awesome. If it wasn\'t for the rain and ridiculous cost of living I would have moved there years ago. There are some great trails for both running and biking in Golden Gate and surounding areas. Let me know when you expect to be settled up there, it\'s only a 7-8 hour drive and I\'ve done it sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many times. I would love an excuse to get up there.
Oh don\'t worry about me getting acquainted up there. My dad grew up in Oakland so I spent every summer of my life on the East Bay (S.F. side too) visiting the grandparents. I may even know S.F. better than Boston because there are so many great places + neighborhoods to take walking tours through.
I will most likely be there in a few months if I do in fact pack my bags.
Hopefully there will be some kind of show in the area (I\'m sure there is something most nights that would be of interest to a couple Breakfast fans) if you do want to make the trek. I actually hung out with a guy I had never met before last weekend. Talked to Greg (Izgiabeher on the PBfans site) then arranged to hit a PB show together. Picked him up and went to RI for the Wheelhouse show. I guess that\'s just what happens in the PB family. I usually end up meeting people for the first time then realize that they aren\'t strangers because of all the info provided in the forums.
Oh Sweet. Well what\'s your Deal ? get out here. You know ya wanta. Oaktown is stomping grounds from back in the day seeing Grateful Dead shows. Many nights spent trippin\' in those hills.
Where did the Dead play in Oakland? Coliseum?
Henry J. Kaiser Aud. and then when they got Big the Coliseum
