Lets put a quick kibosh on this please.  They only covered some Phish for Ellis\' birthday, and it really was just Tim and Adrian.  Ron doesn\'t like Phish nor does he care to start covering Phish.  He is just that good that he could play along with the song even though he really didn\'t know the parts.....You will see the Breakfast covering phish when all 3 memebers actually learn a phish song together (a la Golgi).......and I am pretty sure that unless Ronnie has a 180 degree change of heart, all you phish purists have absoultely nothing to worry about....

ron spears is so headie...

Aaalllllllriiiight, all you little fruits and fruitettes; The Breakfast are great and can do whatever the hell they want to do.  When most of you were still in high school or younger, they were playing Stash, incredibly might I add, and You Enjoy Myself also incredibly (one time even with Tom Marshall).  So, I don\'t see what the big deal is.  Did anyone get pissed when Deep Banana Blackout covered P-Funk songs, Leftover Salmon covered Bill Monroe songs, Phish playing entire albums or John Scofield covering Miles Davis songs?  I fuckin\' highly doubt it, people need to lighten the **** up, music is meant to be shared and bring happiness to people and I also would have trouble believing that anyone bitched back in the day when all those jazz forefathers played each others songs.  I mean wouldn\'t it be nice to hear other people interpretations of other songs, or better yet play the songs of the people the looked up to or may have gotten them into music to begin with?  We all know \'em and love \'em so what\'s the difference who plays \'em.  Christ.

i was honestly less than thrilled when they busted out  birds from a feather until i realized it was just a tease. i agree w/ spacey that a ser original beats a ser cover any day.

as far as phish songs i feel like they should use the song to display their own sickness. like ice or yem, not so much golgi, def. not birds of a feather ortweezer (although tweeprize was grimey)
