I agree. Too many people are fixated on what covers they will play rather than the great music that they have created.
i think TB should write new songs with matt; the more originals, the better. plus, maybe with his addition we will see some more diverse stuff (a new mind in a a band always helps creativity)

Cletus Awreetus Awrightus needs to be brought back so Matt can add the full sound to it. 2007-02-02 was cool to see but I think it would sound even better as a 4 piece.
F all these easy rock cover songs. Play something complicated like Foam. I know they\'re playing Lawn Boy for halloween so they don\'t really to throw any more Phish songs into limited rotation but Foam has each member playing on a different time scale. This would showcase their ability to play more complicated songs as well as crowd pleasers.

after hearing mike and the duo do foam, i don\'t think anyone else shold cover it. they *owned* that piece of music, winding it in and out of damn near every other song played at a couple shows!
