Too High - Stevie Wonder
Ronny would sound great and the Tim would destroy the harmonica mid-section solo. I think this would be such a cool tune to cover.
Great tune, I remember I first discovered this song when I was in 9th grade and into hip-hop, I think the rap group The Liks (Alcoholiks) sampled the beat.
Just to be completely random (and somewhat morbid and disrespetful) next time they play near lake superiour they should cover the wreck of the edmond fitzgerold.
I doubt they even know the song.
The legend lives on from the chippewa on down
Of the big lake they called gitche gumee
The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead
When the skies of november turn gloomy
With a load of iron ore twenty-six thousand tons more
Than the edmund fitzgerald weighed empty.
That good ship and true was a bone to be chewed
When the gales of november came early.
roundabout in tribute to new keys player
The Misfits - Halloween, Halloween 2, Bullet, Last Caress, Brain Eaters (I think that 2 or 3 tunes for a FF would be cool)
Clapton - Roll It Over
CSNY - Ohio
Pink Floyd - Echoes or One of These Days
Sid Vicious - My Way (version used at the end of Goodfellas)
Okay, a serious list then:
As everyone else has said, please no more Grateful Dead or Phish, however:
Jefferson Airplane: Ballad of You and Me and Pooniel (do they cover any airplane?)
Rush: 2112 - the whole thing.
Sonic Youth - Triology
Tool - Sober (Because no one would guess that they would ever cover tool)
Fugazi - The Cure
Donovan - Skip along Sam
Morning Dew - Bonnie Dobson
WESELY WILLIS - ROCK AND ROLL MC DONALDS
