IT IS called Eat That Phone Book Coda, not the Oobie scoobie ddt blues yada yada yada... I just purchased Angel Egg, the album in which both songs in question are on.  And sure enough Eat that Phone Book Coda is EAT THAT PHONE BOOK CODA!!!!  So someone must delete all the  Ooby Scooby\'s asap!!

I\'ve never heard "Ooby Scooby..." or "Eat That Phonebook Coda" as played by Gong or The Breakfast.  I remember this correction coming about, but are we sure that The Breakfast has only played one of these songs ever and not both?
Go see your Breakfast, there are starving Leiths in California

Bit of an old one this - thought we cleared that one up ages ago. I went through the archive downloading nearly every Oooby Scooby and Phonebook track (sad, I know) and there was ono sign of Ooby anywhere.

So, I hate to admit it, but joe\'s right on this one - can\'t believe he \'s only just bought Angel\'s Egg though - the Zero the Hero trilogy should be in everyone\'s collection from the moment they discover music.

Just going to put the kettle, on now...

leith, wanna chime in here?

IIRC, leith is the one who originally brought up ETPBC as being the wrong title.. just curious to hear his thoughts..

Yeah ya know i\'m tryin\' to remember what my issue was in the 1st place w/ this song. I remember there was some note of them playing ooby...  not eat that.. and I was wanting clarification I believe. I tried to search all my posts but it seems posts after 12/31/04 are no longer accessible.

I would have to be inclined to agree with Joe if he says it is Eat that... as he has proven to me his knowledge of music is vast and if Andy took the time to check it\'s gotta be .

joe doesnt know what he is talking about. i looked it up on amazon and they have 30 second samples of the songs. the song in question is the last track on the album which is titled, "Ooby-Scooby Doomsday or the D-Day Dj\'s Got the D.D.T. Blues."

Should is such a great word.
Nope Dave my first post is still 12/11/04 when I push see all of Leith\'s posts.

Anyway I really don\'t care, though it looks like ChrisF has decided to end the discussion with his last post so i\'ll kindly STEP AWAY!

i see what\'s going on here.. the result set seems to be limited to 500 - no coincidence that a search for both your posts and mine returned only the last 500... i\'ll see if i can change that..

Well Chris F, its safe to say that Amazon **** up with the tracking of the samples.  I own the album, and I\'m a huge Gong fan, I know my **** and TRUST me on this one.  No ooby scooby, its all Eating the Coda that came from the Phone Book.  Never double down on a double deuce, SNUCKA!!!

actually on one of the other versions of the release on amazon the song samples are the way you say you have them, but they still have the titles swapped when they are opened in media player. so i believe you now.
