I\'m game, but I\'d rather pimp it on another PT site, for a band I could give two
**** about........I got it, YONDER BOARD HERE I COME!!! YIPPIEEE YIII YOOO TAYYY YAYYY
No one reads the Yonder board anyway. The only reason it was made was because Paul started it as a favor to a friend who pushed for its inception way too much, I\'m pretty sure he isn\'t gonna make that mistake anymore. I\'d hate the site as a whole if it wasn\'t for the moe. board(and I occaisionally check out the Biscuits board), the Phish board is horrendous and I feel bad for anyone who actually takes the time to read that stupidity.
every time i post anything on UM\'s PT board, i slip in comments about The Breakfast. always. i actually got a few people to give them an honest listen and a couple people said they were quickly "falling" for em. i gave a list of about 5 or 6 songs for people to download to get to know their sound (songwriting, jaw dropping jams, vocal diversity) and it seems to be working. ive already got 15 people rounded up to hit up TB\'s Chicago show on 4/30, FIFTEEN and im just one person!! and all who previously never even heard the bands name. thats not to mention all of the people i get into conversations with at shows-- i end up preaching and making people promise me they will see em because i tell them i know they will be blown away. people seem to take it really well too. even little
**** like some kid was posting from Dayton OH and i told him that Columbus is only a little over an hour away, so go see THE BEST band around right now on Wed. 3/30. he said he was gonna bring a couple friends.
if everyone (esp. outside of CT area) sincerely puts effort into spreading the music and word it will catch on pretty quickly. in my area, it is. for everyone i have listen and burn shows for they keep asking for more and they LOVE the tunes, and theyve got friends who now have heard em. patience and effort = TB eventually getting on top where they no doubt deserve to be. im honestly working my ass off to get a crowd here in Chi-town, and i give you my word it\'s working.
****, i just remembered some dude that\'s a trey/barber freak, i will give him a call tomorrow and i know he\'ll be in. hes got a few close friends that were Phanatics and Biscuits freaks too, so by my calculation thats about 18 people now that i directly will have going to the Elbo Room. think about the exponents guys! only a short matter of time.........
gordo nice jam on spreading the good music. keep it up, thats the effort we as fans need to put in to get the name spread. I hope that you haveone hell of a time at the show, its a guarentee that you will be blown away, these guys have been on fire as of late. Good work and keep spreading the word!
so hot as of late...i may just be there!
so hot as of late...i may just be there!
:fucktard: You have enough trouble getting out of your house, let alone out of the state
I think next time Pevar shares the stage with Breakfast he should bring his walrus mustached friend David along with him
Umphrey\'s moved from Indiana to Chitown because they knew that relying on a poorly populated was not the way to make it. It\'s not that CT is poorly populated, it\'s merely poorly cultured.
I would love to see a duel between Herring and Timmy any day.
Indiana is pretty populated. The band started playing to the ND crowd and it\'s a huge market.
CT is a secondary market at best which is why it\'s a little tougher coming from this area but moving is something that should have been done in year 2-3 if was ever gonna happen.
The bottom line is that if you tour enough.. it doesn\'t matter where you hang your hat because you\'ll be visiting all the markets ona regular basis anyway.

"they own faces across the northeast on a daily basis."
Great job over there. They will get exposure and join the team. Anchor Drops = boring album. I listened to it just to give UM a chance. Real Radio is king!
I agree wholeheartedly. I bought Anchor Drops with great expectations. It does nothing for me. I like their previous CD much better. As far as AD vs. RR, it\'s a hands down knock out punch for Real Radio!
Josh, true, I guess I really don\'t know the size of the Notre Dame crowd, but I do know that it isn\'t that bumping ( I used to see this girl from that area) as far as people into cool music goes. You\'re right as well, the touring must never stop.... Sorry Gencs, time to but the Timmy shows on the backburner for now.... Tour, Tour, Tour!!!
i played deuce one night to one of my older friends who is a huge Umphphrey\'s fan, and by the time half of tribal funk affliction was over he was saying that the breakfast are a much better band, for sure. i was pretty pumped because he hasnt even heard anything yet.......
Play Him Mooboos And Hes Bound To Give You A Blowjob......
this dude\'s from iowa so he\'s never heard of them. he thought the name of the band was funny but totally dug it. he told me they definetly have not been around where he lives ever which sucks.
iowaht? thats still a state?
I was looking through my early Phish shows the other day and started thinking about the gigs they did opening for Santana and Widespread Panic. Something like this might be good for the band right now. It would give them the chance to play some places around the country without incurring as much cost as putting together the tour themselves. The summer festivals help in this regard, but it is easy to get lost among so many bands.
