TOUBAB, PGROOVE, U-MELT, LOTUS AND MORE AT INTIMATE VIRGINIA FEST IN AUGUST
Jesse Miller ? Lotus by Brad Kuntz
Camp Barefoot Music Festival is set to take place August 13-15, 2009 at the Cove Campground in Gore, VA. Heybro Productions, LLC the producer of the event is focusing on expanding to national acts as normally known for being a regional act festival for the last two events. Focused as a grassroots festival they still support the regional and local music scene from up and down the eastern seaboard.
Camp Barefoot 3 will benefit the nonprofit organization Soles4Souls, where you donate lightly used shoes to the less fortunate affected by natural disasters. With no national acts overlapping each other, the three-day weekend event will supply numerous bands on multiple stages for an intimate crowd.
Tickets are limited to a max capacity of 2,300 people. Advance ticket prices are 2-day tickets are $75 w/ camping, 3 day tickets are $100 w/ camping and 75 VIP passes are $175 w/ camping. They will also have tons of food, art and craft vendors at this grassroots, family style music and art event.

kamp w00kf00t here i come
apparently this was already mentioned in the rumors thread. oops.
the only problem is that its the same weekend as the local-ish phish show at merriweather. i\'ll definitely be there the first two night, though! and i highly encourage any of y\'all that can make it down to do so! gorgeous piece of land, no authoritarian presence, huge swimming lake, very nice, fairly mellow vibe until the music gets raging!
I just heard back from Scott @ heybro productions...
Camp BF3 is scheduled Aug. 13-15, and tickets will be on sale April 1st
So fuckin excited for this. Love me some Camp Barefoot.
man, this is starting to look like a busy summer!! i want to make
http://www.delfest.com, camden, burgettsville, and merriweather, camp barefoot and watermelon park fest at the end of september. i kinda hope we don\'t buy any house and just blow our deposit on a year\'s worth of touring!!!
I might have to scrape together some cash for this one. One of the few times I get to see everyone from CT anymore, and the first Barefoot was pretty badass. 2 nights of Breakfast make it sound that much more appetizing. Count me in.
2 nights of breakfast!!!!
2 nights of Lotus
Perpetual Groove
Toubab Krewe
John Browns Body
Umelt
The Bridge
FREAKIN AWESOME
I heard the breakfast is doing the late night after Lotus on Saturday to close the event out. So f****ing awesome!!!
Due to the bigger bands this year and bringing in more people the website said it will be tent camping this year and only car campers will be VIP and family camping. VIP here I come....Also I noticed if you buy tickets in advance the camping is included in the ticket price this year.,.NICE
if anyone is driving from anywhere in the NE let me know. I would much rather do this than phish.
so excited for this, it was missed last summer.
i think i\'ll be down there for this.
I will definitely be at Phish.
Enjoy.
I heard the breakfast is doing the late night after Lotus on Saturday to close the event out. So f****ing awesome!!!
hmmm... that means it *will* be possible to go to merriweather and make it back in time to still see some breakfast.... this may have just gotten dangerous.... in a good way....
Also I noticed if you buy tickets in advance the camping is included in the ticket price this year.,.NICE
that\'s always been my single biggest complaint about the cove. it makes almost every fest they have there unrealistically expensive. its one thing to show up expecting to pay $120 for two days of music, but then to have another $30 for camping makes it not worth it. and like i said, this isn\'t just a camp barefoot problem. there have been a bunch of things were it was relatively cheap for a bunch of local no-name bands, then to get there and have them want to charge me a camping fee whether i was actually gonna camp or not, just really puts a sour taste in my mouth. even this year\'s vip tix don\'t lessen the camping cost, just add it in. as much as i love it there, they really need to find a way to work with the promoters to lessen the impact of that extra fee.
ok, i\'ll get off my soap box now.
my only other question is whether, with phish in the area that saturday night, the crowd will actually be big enough to necessitate the no car camping deal?? i hope so, for the promoters\' sake.
ok, i guess i have one more question. where can i print off fliers? i\'ll start passing them out at whatever shows around here i go to....
