i personally dont mind when the band gets involved, as long as they dont go over the top (like leith usually does) :duck:

I still say **** it. These "rules of professionalism" can eat a dick. I\'ll take unveiled honesty over censorship any day. If you want to say something Chris, say it. As long as you guys tear **** up on stage I could care less what is said. I\'m here for great music, and y\'all deliver it. .info is just elevator music, we all just happen to spend a lot of quality time (good and bad) in the elevator, and I appreciate the hell out of it. Perhaps the band shouldn\'t be posting on the forums so casually. But the fans shouldn\'t be telling the band what to do. Leith you said the band should have taken the high road and sent a PM, why didn\'t you do the same instead of starting this thread? If you think the band is being unprofessional by making statements in the middle of one thread, why make a new thread pointing it out?

Personally I think it is great that the band posts on here. Any questions I have about the band/music get real responses. If I want to know what strings Tim uses why shouldnt I be able to post a thread and get the info from the man himself?

And all this talk about professionalism? This is not the Breakfast\'s official site. Are WB and Capitol record Producers scouring .info to find out more about the band? Should we expect a Rolling Stone expose on saturday night\'s shows internet discussion forum\'s posting from a bandmember? Puh-leeze.

the bands opinions (yoda being an ****/ joe being a crazy little twerp, hehe) are just as valid here as your opinion is (band members insulting fans on the internet is not classy)...

the internet gives us an avenue to be classless, as you have proven, time and time again....

Stating opinions, giving information out or defending the band from a misconception on a fan forum is understandable and acceptable.

Taking that any further and directly insulting ANY FAN on the forum is classless and totally out of line.

Band Members should take the high road if they feel directly insulted and reply via PM or have Dave take care of the offending posts if the complaint is legit.

Because I am a fan and do not have to be professional. I have stated this opinion before and will continue to.

This is the ONLY site associated with the band that has a fan forum. So it would behoove them to treat it as if it were their Official fan forum.

As I said in my first post this is merely my .02 and as is there wont the band will most likely shake their head mutter something mildly derogatory and move on.

Lord knows I\'ve said some things I wouldn\'t typically delve into being of sound mind and body. (Foot has been in the mouth recently actually)...Of course the screen lets us \'wear masks\' and say something we may not explicitly say if we were in person. However, I think it\'s decent to 1) be honest and 2) remember we\'re humans who all make mistakes. If these dudes want to joke around, let it be.

At least they\'re decent enough not to try and slam us for $100 a ticket (although I\'d surely pay it if I could). That\'s why I think \'phishdom\' mentality is getting to be kinda ridiculous. I appreciate that these guys obviously do this for the love of the music and not the fame, fanfare, or riches. Of course, it would be nice not to have to wonder how you\'re going to pay the bills, but that\'s why we\'re here-- to spread the joyous word!

I don\'t have any problem with leith\'s thread/original post either. He\'s also exercising his right to say what he wants. My dissent was specifically meant to support the counter, in this case the band\'s right to do the same, to say what they want. leith, if you feel that the band shouldn\'t post some smack towards fans, fine, it\'s not unreasonable. I just disagree. As long as the band doesn\'t respond with submission (to leith\'s request), I am fully okay with leith\'s pov. I\'m not riding the fence here, I just don\'t think anyone should keep quiet if they have something to say. There haven\'t been any threats or seriously violent words thrown around, so **** it.... I\'m just hungry, man. Let\'s just go out and find some barbecue or something.
