i\'d say we should end the thread here, but i\'m sure there are a whole lot more cheap shots at least 10 posters are going to come up with by the time they catch up with this thread.

hypothetically speaking, what would everyone say if the other option for 10/31 was the Webster? Just hypothetically...

Everyone would kick and scream the same way they are now (myself included) but most everyone would be there. So if the reaction from the fanbase is the same either way, then you might as well do the show that they will go to.

On another note, I would love to see ONE person from greater Oberlin show up on this board this week. Maybe throw in a "Wow, this is so awesome The Breakfast is coming on Halloween!" post. I\'m curious if ANYONE out there knows or cares. Like I said before though, I do honestly think the show will be sold out and totally slam since kidz out there will have absolutely nothing else to do. I think there\'s a good chance it will outdraw what your hypothetical Webster show would have drawn.

From the Oberlin College wiki page:

The Oberlin teams of 1994 to 2000 have been rated the fifth worst college football team of all time by ESPN.com\'s Page 2. In 1994, Oberlin lost all nine games of its season scoring only ten points and giving up 358 points. In 1995, the Yeomen were outscored 469 to 72. In August 1996, Sports Illustrated featured Oberlin in its annual College Football Preview as the worst team in Division III.

I\'d like to see them do a southern tour again, and I don\'t even live there. It\'s just been a looong time since they\'ve played anywhere south of d.c. region

I\'m sorry, but I had to go back and read this twice.  Oberlin scored 10 points over an entire 9 game season.  That is absolutely incredible!  They must have been shut out either 7 or 8 times.  I mean geez, they\'re playing a bunch of other Div III teams and players and not one guy on Oberlin could take one broken play for a score all year?  All those D-3 defenses they played against made every single tackle all year?  That\'s just unbelievable.  And look at the following year: giving up 469 points in 9 games, that\'s 52.1 points per game allowed!  Is it even safe to field a team if they\'re getting run over that badly?  Nobody would let an average high school team line up against a Div-1 college team, it just wouldn\'t be safe.  How is this any different?  And all this is happening in Ohio, one of the most football-serious states in the country!  How can this even be allowed to happen?
