I have no idea what these gigs are.  With every solo act and side project going on, please list the name of the band and the date of the gig in the thread title

Just my .02... since I post all of the gigs. The reason they are they way they are is because thats how davepeck ran it for years.  I know he doesn\'t post here much anymore, and I didn\'t feel comfortable altering the way things had been done for years with out approval.  Honestly, "ease" is not one of the things I visit .info for.  All of the information you require (or that is available) is only a click away! I promise.  Also, if you go to side project or kung fu calenders and hover over the date or gig youre interested in, a brief synopsis of the show\'s information appears.

Alright so that was a slight exaggeration... we all know its been a good long time.  but there are two other points I take into consideration...
1) even though he doesn\'t post,  he is on the board quite often looking around to see what\'s happening here.
2) as far as I know... .info is still his, and the way things are set up, are his ideas.

I understand the point about there being more side projects now and more gig listings and how that might be confusing at an initial glance of the front page.  But again, all the information is in each thread (again only a click away!). If you\'re curious about something check it out!  It won\'t eat up much more of your time... unless you still have a dial up connection. :lol:

For a dead forum, a few of you have some pretty lively opinions... everyone needs something to complain about i guess. not that i need compliments for what i do around here but how about a "hey man, thanks for the letting me know about all these upcoming shows!". it takes a bit of time to collect all the info that goes on here and there seems to be minimal appreciation for the work that is involved (by most, or should i say few since it is a dead board).  some members only crawl out of their holes when they have something to **** about and then disappear again.  you don\'t like the way thing are done around here... E-A-D, unless you would like to take over the responsibility and do it your way. while i\'m the one thats posting the gigs, i will stick to the way i have been doing it because I don\'t see a problem with it.  

My guess would be that if you dont have enough time to look in a thread, your time is probably better spent not on a internet message board in the first place. This place should be renamed thebitchfest.info since that\'s mostly what goes on here, when there actually is activity.
