Will someone please explain to me why we are not allowed to call out other .infoers in the Spunk Forum....The forum that is defined as "ANYTHING under the sun that isnt The Breakfast related"

I am not trying to break balls, but just looking for a resonable explination....

Thank you much,
Gencs

i guess i don\'t know what a \'textbook call-out\' is.. that looked to me like a \'textbook private message\'..

i\'ve never seen any point in the \'UserX------>\' threads.. i have private messaging enable so people can have one on one conversations with each other if they want to. i even have a chat room that no one uses!

but like i said, i may just be confused as to what a textbook call-out is.. i didn\'t think it had anything to do with \'how was your weekend?\', though... ;)

I figured that everyone would benifit from Walshy recounting his weekend.....
Not that he needs any coaxing to relay a story, I just was hoping to jump start it for him......

I was hoping to public message Walsh for everyone as opposed to private messaging him....

Sorry to waste your \'width

If you are convinced by my reply here, would you consider re-opening that thread?

while your inclusion of interesting wooky info on your Walsh callout (ie his location over the past couple days & the fact that bisco fans are crooked hat wearin\' freaks [he, he, he]), your use of a public thread for your own selfish reasons, is of little concern to anyone else... PM it.  But who am I other than a sub1000 post newb.

post peck/cobb scolding excuse.  if you had included that in your original post the thread would probably still be open.

i, for one, would like to read about walshies weekend. it would be so much easier on the ears than having him tell me all about it.

If your intention was simply to connect with him directly, a PM would catch his attention sooner because a window would pop up the second he logs on to .info.  Otherwise, he would have to look for your thread instead of the instant "New Private Message" window.

From a moderation standpoint, it doesn\'t appear that you are doing any more than holding a conversation in a thread, though I do understand your idea of generating conversation of past events that may appeal to many .inforumers.  Maybe a different title and introduction to the new thread would better specify your intentions.

I\'d like to go on the record:  I\'m just bustin\' Steve\'s balls because it\'s fun, I have no problem with that "textbook callout".

however when this band blows up and there\'s 800 people on this board daily, that kind of thing will get real annoying quick.

and as far as Walsh not seeing his call out... I don\'t know if anyone else notices this, but Walshie is a forum troller, he\'ll bump old ass threads that most folks forgot about weeks ago.
