the vbulletin site had more functionality but unfortunately it got hacked and it also costs $$$ for the license. In order to preserve the data of the old site i needed to import it in to something updated with good security patches. This isn't really up my alley but I know enough to hack some **** together.

So if you don't like the "new" site I understand, Dave put TONS of time in to the old site and it was definitely better looking. At this point I just want to try to get the functionality of the old site working and also do some clean up.

If anyone has ideas or wants to pretty things up let me know

It would be great if there was a "Home" page like vBulletin has, where by default you see all the recently posted in threads.

Instead of the layout now where you have to click into every sub-forum to see if there's anything new.

Is this possible with the new software?

That would be nice tuna, but at least you can scroll down to the bottom of the homepage and it will show all of the latest posts. Thats what I end up doing.

Yes according to the info i just read, including live information pulled from the forum on any webpage is a trivial php call. I was contemplating a "home" page and link to the forum etc. They have portal plugins as well similar to how vbulletin and vportal worked together. If you guys have any feelings one way or another let me know. The most recent posts are currently included on the bottom of the main forum page as mentioned above.

Just wanted to say that it is really unreal how much time and information you put into this site over the years. Add to that the sheer epic numbers of recordings / traveling you did just blows my mind.

When I was updating and cross referencing the LMA links I couldn't believe how many of those are yours and i'm pretty sure you were working full time.
