whew
so here i am , learnin from the gypsies and now raping unh\'s library for everything its worth
i just got here, waiting for face and sallyalli. theres some fairly generic but talented rock band playin right now outside, but i needed some air conditioning, internet access and a place to fill up the cup, so here i am....
lemme say this syracuse show was seeer. we walked in during the wilfred brimley, which as i understood it was just a named jam, but maybe its a composed instrumental? at any rate it was good fun, right into the obligatory phaddyboom, which the crowd obviously loved
the set was very well paced i felt. gravity goes into the second best slot i\'ve seen after the ridiculous stone church gravity last march(?) and people were pumped about in the flesh.
people were bouncin around during vermont song. eschers 3 and 4 i finally felt was put in very good spot for the show... after the dance party of gravity and the jammin of vermont song, eschers three kinda had that chilled out epicness (reminiscent of, say... mooboos?) and then raged into the disco dance party-crowd was loving it!
for second set, language and fieryball were both well played and people were movin, but the buquebus! holy fuckin nannies... the builds in the trance dance jam were perfect. at first listen i can definitely say this was one of the best i\'ve ever seen (go ahead and talk your smack), and for all you oldies, i wasnt at puppethouse so shoot me
like gfunk said, best rust ever. now that said, the song itself doesnt change that much, but the jam coming out of it was so sweet. leith, i believe you once said a long time ago that tims only problem was that when he has to choose between playin 0 notes or 1 note, he plays 5. i think this jam is exactly what you are lookin for my friend.
finally, thank you to everyone who helped in the effort to get some save banter. although our original goal was not met, i believe the outcome was well worth the effort. if you are stone church tonight, lets make it happen.
