Yeah Peavy!

The San Diego Padres ace received all 32 first-place votes and finished with 160 points. Peavy went 19-6 while topping the majors in ERA (2.54) and strikeouts (240) He is only the 4th National League pitcher to do this in the last 40 years. At least some good came out of this season.

Bring Lowell back home.  He started his pro career as a Yankee, let\'s get him back.

Lowell is in "serious negotiations" only in the sense that it is not a groundless rumor. If it does happen, which I doubt but will admit that it\'s possible, the Yankees would be idiots to put Lowell at first base. I understand why they wouldn\'t be able to because of politics, but out of Lowell, A-Rod, and Jeter, Lowell would be my third choice to move to first base. Lowell is a better third baseman than A-Rod, and Jeter has been a miserable shortstop lately (aside from that highlight-reel worthy jumping throw that covers for sketchy general fielding).

This is what I hate about the big market teams. The Yankees, with a serious hole to fill at a least one corner of their infield, are looking to sign a 33-year-old. And as a Red Sox fan, I admit that they would probably do the same.

Yeah Jake! Finally some due recognition.

Oh and did everyone see Bonds got indicted?

Glad to see my Fantasy Team MVP gets the NL Cy Young Award. He deserves it.

Bonds off season has just stepped into a quagmire. Most likely is done with professional baseball I would assume.

how big of a shiteaters grin do you think the yankees managment all had on their faces when arod came crawling back in asking for his job back, without his agent?

If he comes back I hope he gets put in his place by the fans next season.

Since the Cy Young is a purely regular season award, Sabathia deserved it.  I have no problem with him winning.  But he\'s gotta feel like a shmuck standing there taking the Pitcher of the Year award when he sucked in the playoffs, and not only that but he lost twice to the guy who was his closest competitor for the Cy Young.  The trophy will be an albatross for him.  He\'ll look at it and it will only conjure up memories of sucking and losing to Beckett in games 1 and 5 of the ALCS.  So if you\'re upset about him winning, take solace in the fact that he will never truly enjoy the award.

Lowell stays, 3 year contract.

I am so happy that I can continue to fantasize about being alone with him in the Red Sox clubhouse.

Some people consider the season started when free agency starts, I don\'t agree. For me it starts with day one of spring training. I mean, it is still 2007.

If you feel the need though, go ahead. I\'m sure people will use it.
