DVD Description

Explore the depths of the unknown in this complete collection of episodes from THE TWILIGHT ZONE. Funny at times, heartbreaking at others, THE TWILIGHT ZONE was one of the most unique and inventive television shows ever created. Rod Serling developed the series on the premise of watching people experience things so bizarre they can only be part of a fifth dimension. Serling appears at the start and finish of each episode, acting as the viewer\'s guide through the TWILIGHT ZONE. Consistently compelling, moral, and thought provoking, the series still inspires remakes and contemporary spin-offs. All 156 episodes from the classic show are collected here.

I didnt catch much from nye to nyd, but i did see the one which inspired the simpsons 3DHomer Treehouse of Horror short.  Where the daughter and dog entered the vortex that was in the wall behind the parents bed....i ended up falling asleep before seeing the ending but i am sure it didnt end with Homer falling through a dimension vortex and landing in the dumpster of an erotic cake store....

saw quite a few of the ones that inspired Treehouses of Horror

The one with William Shatner, where he see the bigfoot thing on the wing of the plane, ala Bart seeing the Gremlin on the bus.

The vortex one you saw.

I know there were more but I\'m drawing a blank

I probably wont get it until my birthday when I have some $$. I\'m cheap like that. When it\'s on sci-fi, I go out and buy a bunch of 6 hour  VHS tapes and just record all weekend long. I have like 5 tapes of sci-fi. It has commercials, but i can deal with that if it\'s saving me $200.

 I saw that one!  (among many, many others) - They end up getting the dog to find the girl, then the dad goes through the vortex & pulls them out before the "vortex" closes.  :yay:

I got hooked after seeing the one with the woman in a bunch of gauze who\'s trying to look normal.  they take her bandages off & she\'s gorgeous, while all the doctors & nurses look like mutant pigs... classic show & I\'m definitely gonna try to get the whole series :awwyeah:

thought this was the best thread for this.

Just a reminder that the Sci-Fi channel does a Twilight Zone marathon on new years day.  Great recovery TV.
