What the fuck is wrong with Pedro Martinez

A 30 year old man throwing a 70 year old man to the ground.  Seems fair to me.  And piss on MLB for not ejecting Martinez from the game.  Another example of the Boston Red Sox\'s inability to play a fair game of baseball.

So all you Red Sox fans.  Bring it on.  Try and justify Martinez throwing Zimmer to the ground.

old man zimmer should realize he is not a 20 yr old anymore and just do what he does best SIT and KISS TORRE"S ASS. Pedro may have hurt him more if he pushed him away, I think Pedro was just trying to avoid that lame ole man\'s swing and hey when you throw a bale of hay same thing happens w/ momentum and all. Pedro did the right thing.  Zimmer is a senile old man who thinks he can charge people 1/3 his age.  Zimmer is a tool.  Pedro defended himself from Zimmer\'s disgraceful attack while inflicting the least possible damage to Zimmer.  Pedro could\'ve killed Zimmer quite easily, but instead just casually tossed him aside.  Zimmer should be suspended from the series and banned from the Hall of Fame.

OK...so as a 24 year old male...
if a 70 year old man started chasing me i would defend myself by moving or backing up (as i am much faster than a 70 year old) not fling him by the head into the ground.  Reguardless of what you all say i know that none of you would grab someone by the head and throw him down.  Lets just say it was your grandfather or greatgrandfather...i highly doubt you all would be singing that tune.

You can never account for adrenaline no matter what you want to do. Humans are slaves to instinct (self defense, Pedro was surprised Zimmer swung @ him 4 which Zimmer HAS APOLOGIZED).
Also adrenaline clouds rational judgement think about it. Anyone who says they would do different would like to think so I am sure, but I doubt they would be able to.

Well, I am done with this thread.  Looks like I am one of the few people in the world who could honestly say I wouldn\'t assault a 70 year old man, or any other grown adult regardless of the situation.  Adrenaline...good til the last drop.

All I have to say is I pray you never have to find out what adrenaline can do to a person in a fight or flight situation. When I was serving in the USN we had alot of "peace babies " of which I was/am one,and believe me when the shit hits the fan you will defend yourself in one way or another. It may not be the result you wished for but there will be a result.

I think Pedro should offer as generic an apology as Don Zimmer did.  But it looks like he\'s going to be pitching Game 6 in The Bronx.  He\'s obviously not going to apologize before then...
