Seriously that\'s just silly looking at what music they chose to put up there. NOT the best representation of the band\'s capabilities...

This is in response to Spacey\'s post about putting new music up yeah?

Because Psygn is up as a sample due to this:

Came home from work to find my Yankee playoff order instructions in the mail, and Psygn on .net.  Today was a good day.

then go take out Duece and listen to that over and over and reminisce about the good old days.  Moxie Epoxy is a far more mature album than anything they\'ve yet to put out and best exemplifies what the Breakfast of 2006 is all about.  I\'d like to see how you\'d arrange it if you were in charge of putting this album together.

I thought she was talking about whats being played on Sirius_17.

The jam scene better get prepared because this album is gonna blow peoples minds and The Breakfast are gonna own the rest of 2006 into 2007 and hopefully beyond.  I can\'t wait to get myself a copy.

I\'m sure the 6 minute Psygn sample is the final mix. The cd is out to press as we speak. And...why give up the whole thing? Buy the cd for that. Plus...for possible radio use, you want to control which 6 minutes they will air. You def. don\'t want to leave it to someone else to chop!!

huh, so the Psygn on the album is going to be only 6 minutes??

now I\'m confused...

why give up the whole thing? well it\'s just one song. Or is it half a song? :\\

hate to be a stick in the mud, but does anyone else think the guitars sound really really muddy?  like waaaaayyy too much 200-300hz....

performance was great though, definitly stoked to hear the rest of the song and album, but seriously perpexed by the muddyness of the guitar sound.  not sure what to make of that at all.

they just (or maybe it was sometime last week ask leith) put up Psygn on .net

Listen to \'Psygn\' from Moxie Epoxy
Go to the MUSIC section and listen to a 6 minute clip of Psygn. Psygn the first track of the album starts it off right clocking in at 10min and 56 seconds. We couldn\'t give it all way now could we. More tasty morsels to come.

They put Intension up :D

http://www.thebreakfast.net/downloads/music/intension.mp3

Cool... I like Ron\'s muffled voice in the song, like sang through a muted megaphone or something?

I do have one critique though-- the guitar and bass in the chorus don\'t sound like its rocking nearly as much as I\'ve seen them do live. The Intension I heard this weekend sounded way heavier, and for this particular song I thought that was a very good thing. Crank up the volume and bassEQ for the string instruments on that part!

Jim, I agree with you completely on the Psygn cut. Mids need to be cut and lows/highs need to be boosted. Just on the 1st guitar take (rhythm/chords).. the lead/solo guitar dub sounds good (if not a little quiet).

The mix sounds better than RealRadio but not as good as Deuce.

Also I think it\'s a mistake to cut Psygn down to 6 minutes... which is essentially Psygn minus any jam. The best part of Psygn is the unique and crazy jazz-style infused jam.

flame away, I know it\'s comin\' :P

Especially after the vocals start.  As if the guitar was turned waaaay down to allow the lyrics to be heard. I chalked it up to the download.  Is it possible it\'s clearer on the disc?

i dont think it\'s a volume issue, it sounds like an eq issue.  it sounds to me like the guitars need a serious scooping around 220hz and maybe a little nudge up around 2-2.5khz.  whatever, it\'s not my place to tell someone how to do their job.
