Hey y\'all. Hope all is groovy. Just thought I\'d let you guys know...
On Wednesday I went to see Nine Inch Nails here in Atlanta. It\'s rare I actually get a night off to go see some music, and NIN is very low on my list of bands to see. My wife wanted to go, so I figured - what the hell. Well, holy shitballs. They put on such an incredible show. The energy of the place was insane. It was so similar in crowd feeling and scope to the old Phish days, it was mind-blowing. The crowd was all mid 20\'s-late 30\'s. Dubious amounts of heady accesories passing through my row. And what a fucking light show. Sound was stellar. A 2 broken guitars, 1 busted bass, a competely wrecked guitar stack and 3 microphones thrown out into the crowd. Hell yeah. I haven\'t rocked out that hard in God-knows-when. They are playing in Hartford 6_20_06 @ new england dodge music center. If you have the means - we got 4 pit seats from a scalper for $20 a piece - check this show out.
On a side note...I\'ll be playing a few shows while in CT next week...
Every heady kids favorite venue...SBC in Branford on Thursday 6/15 9:00PM
BAR on Friday 6/16 from 6-10 w/Sean and
Private Party in Hamden 6/17 from 6-11 (pre-Toads anyone??? email for directions - guests are welcome)
Wasabi Chi (SoNo) Sunday 6/18 8PM-close
I plan on making it out to Toads if my gig ends up on time, but I\'d love to see some friendly faces while I\'m visiting. If there is a heady crowd, I promise not to play any over-played, super-cheesy, soccermom-loving covers.
Peace.
Ian
