The Problem:
Our "Spunk" forum is getting overworked.  Too many good topics are being knocked out of sight within 2 or 3 days, even less.  With more members, there are more and more topics always coming in, but the average number of posts per topic is way down as is the time that a topic lasts on the first page.  In fact, only 1 topic out of 26 on the front page of Spunk has more than 5 posts, and the overall average is less than two.  The first page is the only one people look at, proven by the fact that you never see topics come back from the second page.  Discussion is being killed due to too many new topics.

Suggested Solutions:
Many new topics  seem to be of the "news flash" variety.  In order to distinguish these topics, perhaps a new News of The World forum would be good.   (See the Light?)  Also, Spunk topics can be divided into those that have to do with music and those that do not.

Might I suggest the following titles:

"Cosmic Newsworthy Rhymes"
"Question Mark and the News"
"Wild Pack of Headlines"
"Attraction to News Ditty"
"Escher\'s Headlines"
"Echidna\'s Arf (Of News)" (I know it\'s not a PB original, but still...)
