Spring Tour 2006 - Dates & Discussion
« Reply #180 on: February 28, 2006, 10:59:34 pm »
I\'m pretty open on dates... Denver is a definite! S.F. thru S.D. are definites!
If some folks are looking at going to all the CO shows I could be tempted to join in on gas money and lodgings but my plan for now is to fly out for Denver and then drive up to S.F. and continue from there!
Let me know what plans are in the works and maybe we can work some things out.
Can\'t Wait! Ciao, G

Telluride= One of the most beautiful spots in the U.S.
Fly Me to the Moon= A freakin\' riot!

Leith, are you still onboard for the S.F.-though-Arizona run?

Giavanna, which dates are you covering?

I just bought 200 more blanks so we can distribute plenty of Breakfast samplers down the coast of CA and into Arizona.

Perhaps you should think about carpooling with Leith Duvall?

S.D. > S.F. is a haul.

Pffft It\'s only a 7-8 hour drive if done right.
When your destination is The Breakfast time flys!!
Gia you have my # still? If so and you want to carpool, I have PLENTY of room as of right now and do not see that changing drastically.

I think I\'m going to drive to S.F. no matter what. I definitely have one other person coming with me... maybe more. Plus I have a wedding to go to in SF while I\'m there anyway. But, Leith, if you\'d rather ride with me you\'re welcome to. What\'s the lodging situation for SF thru SD? I know I\'m coming back to SD after the Santa Monica show but I\'d be in on anything on the way down the coast.

Leith, ChrisF and possibly Gabe are staying with me for the S.F. shows.  You and your friend can stay too if you don\'t mind getting snuggly on the floor with the guys (my place is pretty small).  I\'m probably going to book a room at the Motel 6 right near downtown Santa Barbara for the Sunday Night show.  I\'m hoping it\'s within walking distance so we can party hearty and not have to drive.  I\'ll probably also try to locate some cheap motel rooms for the AZ shows and the Nevada show.  Bring a sleeping bag!!  Should be fun!!

Hmmm I\'ll think about that Gia. It would probably be the best thing to ride w/ you and split the cost of gas by 3 or more. I do not need a car up there so yeah. Unless the 2 friends I have on the fence come around of course. :sigh:
I\'ll pitch in for some floor space in S.B. and coming home after S.M sounds perfect.
Ya know I think you should expect a PM soon confirming. I think those 2 are just SOL.

I have a tear in my eye reading about non-eastcoasters planning runs. It very nice.

Look for a really cool bonus date on St. Patty\'s day in Boulder....

and maybe a final Sat. in Arizona before coming home.

I just want to say the Alex and Ira have gone all out to make this by far and away the most together tour the band has ever done.  I exoect Mark Danial to do his usual pro job of garnering tour press while the band is out.

If any of you are traveling in fromt of the band, it goes without saying that and word of mouth, flyering, CD smaoler disseminating, et al will really help make this the success it deserves to be.  Personally I think this tour has the potential of being the corner turning event for the band.

Another date in Az. would be so great.
I also think this tour has much potential for the band in terms of larger exposure for sure. It does hit alot of markets they have not been to in awhile.

ALZ- count me in on crashing on the floor and I\'ll go in on the SB motel too.
Leith- I have to have a car to go to that wedding but you\'re more than welcome to ride up with me and Ken I think we\'ll jam up on the 24th.
If St. Patty\'s in Boulder happens I\'ll be there too. CO is great for me cause I have fam in both Denver and Boulder.

I must again say that though the tour is 3 weeks it is going to be a non-stop tour, which shows that they are using the time wisely which in turn might just be that corner stone to get them going.

At first I was a little skeptical but as I added dates to the myspace page and began to research most of the venues and started to visualize the tour, I became instintly impressed. I think all those who have put this tour together are doing a fine job. My only hope is that the shows are well attended and in place like Colorado and California that shows are beyond success.

Do you think Tim will have handbills on the road?  We may have some time to pass out cd samplers and flyers for those towns we arrive in early.  I have already burned 150 Breakfast samplers since Sunday, and another 150 are waiting on the sidelines - my initial goal was 100 in total, so I\'m drastically revising my ambitions.  I didn\'t realize I could produce so many in just a couple of days.  Half will probably go for promoting the San Francisco run, with the rest allocated during the tour.  It would be ideal if we convince some newbs to tour other cities after seeing the band for the first time.

I believe ChrisF may be travelling west with DVDs for the masses.

Any hint of which Arizona city may be logged for the Saturday slot?
