Tough show really.

Other than a killer sound the venue had very little to offer. I was hoping the sound would be killer and it was (the show was only 35 minutes from my place so those were the 2 big reasons for going) but other than that nothing.

There were several folks there for the first band and they didnt stick around. The bands were running late about 30 - 40 minutes behind. There was nothing to occupy your time with. No drinks and call me old fashion but asking me to try to find a place close by sucks. I knew about it going in so I did without but it was kind of a bummer not having a beer or 2.

As for the draw. If you booked the Breakfast thinking they were gonna draw 150-250 people at a dry show even I would have told you no way was that gonna happen. They might get that kind of attendance on their best nights

I have a recording of the opner. It is not complete as I mentioned the other night. I can probably have it burned tonight. Do u want audio or data ? whichever is easier for you is fine by me

I thought about the downtime, and I thought it would be shorter like maybe 15-20m...Fuzz & Carrie of Rolla wanted to do a set during the intermission; I decided against this because 1. I didn\'t think it would play well to have them up there playing while bands were breaking down/setting up. 2. Thinking the break would be shorter I thought people would get up, go have a beer or a smoke if they brought some, use the bathrooms, get a snack...whatever, and then be ready for the next set...I wanted to leave some breathing room. This, as you know, was not how it carried over.

I was hoping that combined the bands would draw that and then more would come just because...you know, the Kevin Costner Field of Dreams approach...if you book it they will come. Or perhaps more appropriately, the Wayne\'s World (Dave still looks like Wayne) vision I had in the desert with Jim Morrison. Clearly, jambands = party...don\'t do this somewhere you can\'t have the magic ingredients or pray to the altar of Dionysus. ;-) I get it now...

that reminds me.. i thought the Cosmic Jibaro\'s were awesome. but perhaps it wasn\'t the best pairing in the world with the b\'fast... just a thought after seeing people get up and leave with their hands over their ears when the b\'fast started playing.. ;)

Funniest thing I saw all night was Tim and Greg playing air guitar to Boston. And yes, there are pics!!!
