Real Radio Spring Tour shows on their way up!
« Reply #15 on: May 10, 2005, 05:12:50 pm »
anyone who uses Firefox, i have a question;

everytime I download a show, it saves to a temp folder and when I try to open it or extract it, it becomes corrupt. How do I choose where I can save the download too. for some reason beyond my comprehension, i don\'t have the option to save it to my music folder.
anyone else experience this or know what the hell i am talking about?
remember, i am slow!

Wow I would PM Dave as he is a computer guru and MAJOR Firefox supporter and may have the solution.

I am assuming that many of you have downloaded these shows (ones that are available) and have had no problem. maybe, my compression agent is screwy. not sure, trying to download one now. i wonder if the other downloads were saved on my computer?

Since this came out it has gone from "theoretical/proof of concept" to PROVED!!! Expect actual an actual patch in the next few hours.

Security Advisory (May 8, 2005) The Mozilla Foundation is aware of two potentially critical Firefox security vulnerabilities as reported publicly Saturday, May 7th. There are currently no known active exploits of these vulnerabilities although a "proof of concept" has been reported. Changes to the Mozilla Update web service have been made to mitigate the risk of an exploit. Mozilla is aggressively working to provide a more comprehensive solution to these potential vulnerabilities and will provide that solution in a forthcoming security update. Users can further protect themselves today by temporarily disabling JavaScript.

Further information including the availability of updates will be posted at http://www.mozilla.org.

In firefox- Go to tools, then options, then downloads. There you can either choose "ask me where to save every file" or you can specify a directory. I use smartftp to d/l shows from archive and have never had a problem.
