guys, this was hands down the best show ive ever been to. unbelievable energy all night long by both the crowd and the band. well, the crowd loosened up by VT Song and then it was balls out dancing the rest of the night.
First set-- Gravity was out of fucking control, Lady Madonna was outstanding, had the whole place doing circles around the dance floor, and Sundance was incredible-- it got real spacey for a little while and then took a funky face and was simply perfect.
Second set-- the boys brought the funk and it was the best time ive ever had at a show, period. So happy to hear my first WTF, it was great, even IG was sick. Then, the rest of the set was absolutely on fire. The jam out of BB was ridiculous. Scarlet>Fairy>Mayfly>Spunk was definitely the highlight of the night. Wait til you guys hear the Scarlet jam, UNREAL. Fairy grew on me a lot, best version ive heard to date. then May Fly dropped like a goddamn bomb. Timmy actually busted out the opening to Punky Reggae Party and had the crowd yelling back at him (whoooah! whoooooooaoh!) then jumped to the Star Wars theme, just sick. Spunk came out of nowhere and Ronny tore it up, actually now thinking about it im pretty sure May Fly ended with Drums and it went into Spunk, not positive though, but wherever the Drums were they were ridiculous, the crowd was in awe. WPOAC was a great way to close the set, so much fun and it was a ser hoe-down! Then the Taboot was a fitting funky end. they tore it up and left everyone with the "salvation pose" as if everyone had just found God during the last two hours of madness.
it was crazy to see how well the band reacted off the crowd, this was my first show with some peeps actually throwin down on the dancefloor. id say about 50-60 people there last night, pretty good for it being their first time. they definitely won the crowd/town over and i expect a double in size next time around, but i dont know how that shit works. i brought 3 noobs down from Chi-town (about a 3 hour drive) and they were skeptical about the distance being worth it. by the end of the show i was being thanked by all of em. ride home they kept asking to put on more TB and couldnt stop talking about how sick the show was, how they couldnt wait for tonight in Chicago. wish i couldve been more decriptive/specific in the music, but it was an all night rage and im trying to gather my thoughts/recover still. just insane, that Begonias was naaaasty!!! hopefully ill get a setlist up sooner tonight, but i didnt get home til almost 5 last night, tonight should be around 2-3 so ill hop on here as soon as i get home. peace and Breakfast!
