That\'s what happens. If they are in a small venue, small crowd, they usually bust out the shitty covers ie Scarlet, Shakedown etc.... It\'s sad that they have to "sell" their peformances.  I say just go onstage and rage....

i agree. as important as it is to promote the new album, they should play some more of their older stuff. there are such great songs that you don\'t hear often (not that they should be played out) like see the light, garcian..etc

See the Light needs to be played more... unconfirmed but I still think it\'s true.

Dare I mention it yet again... Gravity > See the Light (inverted) > Fairy > Gravity
Go see your Breakfast, there are starving Leiths in California

not w/ fairy in there it won\'t be.  put in an ATSD, and then i may be inclined to agree.

as far as playing the RR songs to death.  well, that what happens when bands come out w/ albums, so i\'ve learned to live w/ it.  i\'m just waiting for something new, dare i say, now i\'m ready for some fresh cuts.

NO WAY KEEP FAIRY... ATSD is one of the most annoying TB songs ever.  Its predictable, meant to WOW the audience with how fast they can play and switch time signatures. Fairy is a powerful emotional rollercoaster.......

bout time!

a couple more originals and they can do 3 shows without repeating a tune.
Love many, trust few and don\'t be late.

I miss the old Fairy though... I\'ll admit to taking credit for Fairy\'s comeback.  Back a few years ago they would barely play it and I would always berate Tim, telling him how fucking amazing and beautiful it was.  I mean I would bitch at him constantly. ALl of a sudden it made a comeback.. Woo hoo!!!

last night the Scarlet Begonias was the best cover by any band ive ever heard. granted ive only seen two Breakfast shows, but that shit was ridiculous last night. i think ya\'ll are spoiled by seeing them so many times playing so many covers, incl. a lot of repeats. it was my first time hearing them cover GD live, and it was out of control.

fairy was outstanding last night, couldnt have been more impressed with a song that i didnt care for too much before i heard it live.

i agree too much RR as of late, even watching the crowd last night, the older tunes got people moving (w/the exception of Gravity, which i guess has been around for awhile anyways) a lot more than RR.

8 new tunes are coming?!?!?! thats HUGE...... if its true.
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash
