last night I witnessed something special...
Bernie Worrell and the Woo Warriors played at friggin\' Porter\'s in Westbrook. what a treat to see these guys five feet in front of me, jammin out some of the heaviest shit I ever heard. the band was super tight. got to shake Bernie\'s hand as he practically greeted me when I walked up the stairs. lotsa lotsa Funkadelic...\'Me and My Folks\', \'Super Stupid\', \'Alice in My Fantasies\', and even "Burning Down the House\' from his Talking Heads days. I didn\'t know about this show till yesterday morning when I accidentally read about it in the Advocate, sooooo glad I made it!
