For Old Times\' Sake

With all of this "best and worst" throughout the forum, I suggest we bring back the Personal Top 10 Lists from the Yahoo Group. I don\'t remember exactly what all of the categories were though. Anyone?

In a similar vein, I believe that in light of the Jammy win, we should also bring back the PB Fan Awards. I forget the categories of the Fan Awards as well.

So, what say yous?

I\'m pretty sure I have the first edition of the PB Fan Awards on these floppy disks I\'ve got from my old college computer.  I really gotta find me a 3.5" drive so I can get all this stuff uploaded.  I don\'t remember the personal top 10 lists though.  What was it, things like top 10 shows and such?

PB Fan Awards

Here\'s an old PB fan awards post!

8/24/2

Okay gang, we know that the band gets a lot of press, but I think PB fans are pretty damn cool, so it’s time for us to get our props!  Here it is, the 1st annual PB FAN AWARDS, to be voted by YOU THE PB FAN!

Before we get to the poll, here are some statistical awards/records held by PB fans.  The results might surprise you!  If you would like to state a case to challenge any of these records, go right ahead.

MOST SHOWS:  Dave Pec.  Number stratospheric and unknown.

FARTHEST AWAY FROM HOME AT A SHOW:
1.  Lauren Perry and Rob Sterner; 2930 miles; Amherst, MA to Santa Monica, CA.  And it was their first show too!  They are probably blissfully unaware of what a significant PB record they hold, but I’ll let them know.
2.  Thankful Daugherty; 2439 miles; Chattanooga, TN to San Francisco, CA.
3.  Marcial Mendez; 1247 miles; Tampa, FL to Hartford, CT.

FARTHEST DISTANCE TRAVELED FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF SEEING PB:
1.  Thankful Daugherty and Rachel; 2439 miles; Chattanooga, TN to San Francisco, CA.*
2.  Marcial Mendez; 1247 miles; Tampa, FL to Hartford, CT.
3.  Dave Pec; 841 miles; East Haven, CT to Clemson, SC.*
4.  Mike Bonanno and Chris Murphy; 664 miles; Amherst, MA to Chapel Hill, NC.

* Record only includes the farthest show on that trip.

FARTHEST AVERAGE DISTANCE TRAVELED PER SHOW (minimum 10 shows):
1.  Thankful Daugherty
2.  Jocelyn Hawe

No doubt about it.  These ladies are bona fide road warriors!

FARTHEST AVERAGE DISTANCE TRAVELED PER SHOW (minimum 1 show)
Those people who traveled 400 miles from Eastass, Nebraska to Lawrence, KS for their first show.

BUTTERFIELD PERFECT ATTENDANCE:
Here’s a juicy one.  The only confirmed winner is Mike “Biggie” aka “The Scheme” aka “The Man Who Gave PB a Chance” Cook.  There are probably a couple of other Butterfield veterans who have it (Jay Gould?  Dan McCLeod?  Bonanno?  Stout?  Teddy T?  Scuba Steve?  Mathilda Tanner?  Sketchika?), but that first show was supposedly pretty small.

MOST CONSECUTIVE SHOWS:  I have no idea.  State your case!

*             *              *

AND NOW, THE PB FAN AWARDS POLL!
Fill out and email to terrapinwolf@hotmail.com (hotmail), or post, or just entertain your mind for awhile.  Please post more categories too!

The Fonghoul award for most Italian Italian:

The Attraction to Shade Award for Shadiest Character:

The Champion of Breakfast award for dedication:

The Deuce Award for pair of people who always see shows together:

The Question Mark and the Mind award for most mysterious:

The Lit award for most lit:

The Hardluck Harry award for looking for road head:

That’s all for now.  Let the props roll forth unto the PB fans.

Peace and vibes,
Wolfsmanship
