Rockin show in upstate NY on Saturday night. The fully integrated kung fu / twiddle experience was a fun way to share the stage. Place was PACKED.
Had a nice quick chat with Tim after the show. Its been so long since I have seen him live it seems. There were at least 6 sets of mice flying on the pole with us byt the end of the night. all and all a great Kung Fu show. I have to say I am very happy for the guys and the crowds etc really seem to be enjoying what they are doing. as selfish as it is for me to say I couldn't help but hope for a MASSIVE Buquebus or a heady Breakfast beat down whenever I am in the presence of 3/4 of the band. LOL. I dig Kung Fus music etc but I have to say it is kind of interesting that the crowds seem to be accepting of this more eclectic form of Funk / Jazz fusion that Kung Fu brings as I think it is a little more heady compared to the breakfast catalog.
Having waxed nostalgic a bit they are bringing the HEAT for sure. And as we are all aware of here in .info land Tim is just ON. I mean sure I have seen the guy play over the years but he was in prime form Saturday night. Adrian was as always keeping tight and firing on all cylinders, Chris was really laying it down. Theres a solo or two in the sets where he really shines. I think the back and forth with the twiddle guys helps push both bands.
6 sets of mics flying on the pole with us and someone else was setup by the board. Recordings should be ready in the next day or so
